“Had a perfect wedding experience at Brakefield this past Saturday. The view and pleasant sounds of the Catawba river in the background of the ceremony were stunning and Carol was an accommodating professional throughout the process. She let our vision come to life and I would recommend the venue to anyone interested in an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. It was perfect for our wedding size of ~130.”
“Checked out the place for wine Wednesday and they recently launch comedy stand up! Their service is great, super friendly and quite knowledgeable. They have a good selection of all types of drinks, including non alcoholic. The venue itself is spacious for both day and night hangs. They also have parking in the back”

“The kids had an absolute blast! As parents of children with autism they ran 2.5 hours for an affordable sum and had the greatest time. We did not know they had neurodivergent days until this morning but the staff have been the best. We will definitely be back!”
“I had been wanting to go to this place for a long time and finally went this past weekend. They specialize in making their menu friendly for all types of diets. It was so nice being able to go into a TRENDY/ nice restaurant and be able to order what I want. I'm used to going to these quick, casual, vegan restaurants so it was refreshing. Parking is a little confusing and crowded but it wasn't bad. I believe their parking lot was like one building down but we found a parking spot pretty quick. We went in around 1:30 and I believe we just missed the brunch crowd but it was still a decent amount of people and I did not feel like people were sitting on top of us. We sat at the bar because we didn't have a reservation which I didn't realize that we needed one. Still not sure, but the bartender and all of the other staff were very pleasant. The food came out at a decent time as you can imagine with plant based food, and was delicious. The mimosas I had were amazing. Very different. Can't wait to take all of my non vegan friends. I am so happy to be able to say that!”

The office spaces are beautiful and I would not hesitate to utilize their services again.”
“The space was beautiful, but too chilly in December to have cocktail hour on the porch even with heaters. The need to move chairs between the ceremony and reception was strange.”

“The Duke Mansion is a lovely gem tucked away in the heart of Charlotte. Convenient to get anywhere in town. Our room was spacious and well maintained, however, they are not equal so make sure you are specific in making your reservation. Would recommend to anyone staying in the area. I would love to give this 5 stars but the staff is lacking. It is actually impressive that they can still say rooms will not be cleaned "due to COVID" with a straight face. Awkward excuse for poor management.”
“Pizza was fabulous. Fresh dough made daily. We sat at the pizza bar and watched him make our pizza. Matthew our server was very engaging, and very personable. Service was excellent. 5-star in my book.”
“We called prior to arrival to determine if the menu was the same all day. The staff couldn't have been nicer and even offered to add us to the wait-list. Upon arrival we were day almost immediately. It was a beautiful day and day at the tables outside in the garden area. The menu items are consistent with other restaurants, like pancakes or eggs; however, the items are made very different and unique. All of the food seemed very fresh and was delicious. We had a small hiccup during our visit and management quickly addressed our concerns. We will definitely be back.”

“We met clients at this property. It is conveniently located off the highway, has spacious, well-lit parking, has a huge lobby and common area with beautiful furniture and decor. The business section is just the right size for our needs and has pc’s and printers. The staff were accommodating and friendly. I’d highly recommend this property!”

“Catawba has a location in Charlotte now so my friend and I stopped in to have a round and had a good time. I selected one of the IPAs and enjoyed it. We sat outside and listened to live music but if you want to sit inside it is spacious as well. Cheers!”

“I checked in with a with a welcome and friendly happy smile from Amber. She accommodated me a higher floor near the corner to be more quiet. She even brought the sandals to me directly as housekeeper was off work. I feel she has great customer service that goes above and beyond. But, there were bunch of kids constantly opening a closing door all night, talked loud and even running at the hallway.I planned to swim in the morning, but the water was filthy dirty with hair, debris and floating stuff, likely caused by those kids again. Andrew was kind enough to offer to clean the pool, but it is just too dirty for me.Also, the room AC was strange as it constantly ran for few minutes and stop for about a minute. It was very loud that when it ran, I barely could hear the TV audio. I have stayed in many other aloft hotels before and never noticed or recall issue like this. She accommodateDon’t know why the corporate have a noisy mechanical clock next to the bed? I had to unplug it.I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights, 1st night was rough, but other two nights were normal. Although the 1st night experience was bad, the staff were offered some compensation.”
