“First and foremost, seeing a brand new day. Only God knows if we will see another day.
I have been an avid shopper of Dollar General for years. Pricing has changed dramatically as well. We are paying higher prices for smaller things. The expiration date isn't lengthy anymore either.
I'm reaching out to your company to give you some feedback that needs to be addressed.

Date visited 5/16/26, 11:47 am. There was only one associated working and it was and had been crowded all day. Keep in mind quite a bit work Monday -Friday, and shop on Saturday or Sunday.
I have a serious issues with my visit.

1) Only 1 associate working????
2) Busy day
3) All the customers were very friendly and helpful and patient.
4) Our associate was YANNA, outstanding service under the conditions.
5) If you have an ounce of care, you should know Women are not SUPPOSED to be lifting anything heavy.
6) I know for a fact that your company doesn't pay it's employees like it should.
7) Working under all these conditions and not compensated for it, (Is Modern Day Slavery).
8) This beautiful family woman was going above and beyond, while being under all the pressure.
9) I purchased over $60.00 at your location and I allowed people to go in front of me. They only had a few things.
10) This location had no BAGS, who dropped the ball on ordering what is needed at the store???
11) Having no BAGS is not acceptable.
12) There were a few who didn't want to walk out of the store because they had a can of beer.
13) YANNA YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!, I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!!
14) Any raises in the near future????
15) Another thing I found about a few months ago that WALMART has there hands in Dollar Generals and many others. GREED!!!!!!

I let everyone in the store know that I was going to reach out and these conditions will CHANGE!!!!
I went to my vehicle with a basket of things that I purchased from your location. Thank goodness I keep totes in my vehicle along with thank you bags. I'm always picking up trash and it's not my trash. I was so elated, Thank you God, I can take these bags inside for Yanna. I also brought in all the baskets. I let her know girlfriend I got you. Here are some bags, and I already did the baskets left everywhere. I also sanitized the baskets and the handles. Covid is still with us and has mutated so many times I forgot.

In closing it's time to appreciate your employees and make sure they are equipped with everything they need.
Also please order some money markers. People have been distributing fake money. I bought some for myself and I keep one with me.

I have been in Ahoskie for almost (2) years and had not visited this location.
Wow it was so amazing. You could feel the environment was so very friendly, positivity, courteous, going above and beyond. I adore companies who rely on consumers/customers to keep their business going. Ollie's my hard hat is off to your company.

Since it was my first time at the location I had to familiarize myself with the way it's setup. Prices are amazing. More for less money. Lord knows we need it to survive. The staff amazing as well. Very professional, proficient, friendly, courteous staffing.
I also adore the round up, because there are so many going with out.

Jeanetta took the time to change my information in the system since I no longer live in Virginia. She asked would I like to round up, my reply of course. I saw what she was doing and I said no way, that is not enough of a round up for me. I am blessed to give more in Feeding America. She explained that she has to put it in a certain way and it doesn't add to purchase it adds to the Feeding America. We chatted it was an amazing experience for me. If I'm blessed I will definitely be shopping 🛒 again. Already see the advertisement and I have my eyes on a few things that are actually cheaper with your company.

I forgot to mention on my way in , a gentleman was coming out with all yard work tools. I said to him, Dollar Tree 🌲 or The Dollar up store sells those things you can hang all your yard work tools. He said you are kidding me, no I have bought them for my garage and my home. They are awesome. If I can help anyone, that is what I do. I love to share and communicate with others. I also feel pedestrians should not be waiting on traffic. Hello everyone please yield for our pedestrians. You chose to drive this way, be ready to wait. I walk out and I don't look, I listen and if I see someone who thinks they don't have to be cautious, I look up and see them, you will be yielding to pedestrians on my watch.

“This is the kind of store where you have to hunt for what you're looking for. Don't be in a hurry to find something. If you're coming into the store it takes time because there's so many items on the shelves. There is so much variety”
