“I always have a good experience at this Food Lion. This past Friday, however, I meant someone I had not seen before. Chenese in Produce greeted me and we spoke briefly about the changes in the store and then she got the store directory for me so that I knew where I was going.
Everyone in the store is always friendly and helpful that extra little bit of kindness from Chenese made a huge difference in my shopping that day.

“A neat little store in a rural part of a (mostly) rural county and right next to the Carolina Horse Park! There is no gas station here, but the store certainly mirrors one! Typical convenience store goodies can be purchased here, but Hunt Brothers Pizza food can be found here too! That perhaps is owed to the rural location, as you don't typically see that brand in super urban places. Being a store in the middle of nowhere also gives it some atypical products you might not find in a typical gas station, from gloves and hats to animal feed! They also have a stoplight hanging outside their door, and even though I was told it's stuck on red, stuff like that always scores well with me!”

“Tacos here are the BEST! Price, quality, and service. They keep the prep/cook area very clean, ingredients are fresh, and the ladies that make them are so friendly. I love coming here — dine in or take out. I haven’t tried their other items yet, however I am sure they are just as good given their tacos have never failed me! Would recommend a thousand times over for locals and visitors.”
“All convenience stores are not the same. I go out of my way to avoid any Circle K for example! The Lucky Stop store is clean and the staff is friendly. My go to for lotto as well!”

I bridge the Boomer/Gen X gap. Most of the cashiers appear to be part of the generation that's considered "entitled and don't want to work" by many. How untrue here!! They're pleasant, helpful, over to carry my bags when they don't fit on my rollator, and greet me with big smiles when I first come in. They even forgive me when I say, "I apologize if I look/sound grumpy. I'm having a bad day."

“The two new Ladies working today were friendly helpful without asking or hunting them down. Bagged groceries securely and with a pleasant smile. How refreshing!
I have noticed the general manager runs off employees with a fast turnover rate. So this puts extra pressure on staff as they are constantly training.
Manager, brushes by Females in a hurried manner and has poor communication skills. Maybe manager needs newer classes or another training seminar. As a local business owner myself , I treat my employees fairly and do not talk down to them on the basis of gender. I would hope that he was having a bad few months. It is important to keep trained employees on staff instead of training all of the time.
Store is always stocked well and never blocked isles with overstocked merchandise. Parking lot is always clean for a rural store. Maybe work on treating , training staff in a professional productive atmosphere instead of looking for reasons to pick on the ladies. Sometimes when we take the time to self reflect we aren’t always happy with ourselves:)”
“Very hardworking staff. It's Dollar generals fault they don't allow more staff. One manager and four employees to run these stores from 8 am to 10 pm 7 days a week. Dollar General should do better by there employees. Most managers work 7 days a week. This is a good store with great workers.”

“Absolutely Love DG!!!! The only problem is that Aberdeen and Raeford NC are always out of alot of items due to lack of workers. There is always alot of stock everywhere. But as I said its due to lack of associates. Still a great store and I will continue to shop. Thanks for all of the affordable items!!!!”

The owners are lovely. The staff are always more than helpful and so polite.
