I have now taken two Yin Yoga classes with Roxanne, at Bright Tree Yoga, in Raleigh. I exercise daily, but never do any stretching. I was worried about doing a yoga class, as result of my lack of flexibility. Roxane made sure that I knew this was a nonjudgement class. The class was about doing to your own ability and not worrying about others. It is amazing how I feel after only two sessions. The breathing techniques are also unbelievably valuable. I never thought I would be a person hooked on yoga. I look forward to every class and can feel the benefits and so do my hipsThe focus on the various postures is about quality and not quantity. The posture is held longer than other types of yoga and gives you a nice long stretch that your body will appreciate. I am sleeping better because my hips are not hurting after a long day on the tennis court. I am now doing Yin yoga at home and that is helping. Roxane teaches you the right way to do the postures, so you don’t injure yourself.

I love Bright Tree Yoga and Roxane is hands down my favorite yoga teacher! She always makes sure her classes are suited for all levels and she helps me make adjustments to get the full benefits from the class. It's a great experience from start to namaste!

They require you to be shot for yoga, never heard such absurdity. They do not know your medical history but try to play doc without a license. Absolutely bonkers and nothing whole or whole body mind spirit left here.

I have known Roxanne for many years but only realized 2 years ago that she was teaching yoga. Whether it is at her yoga studio, or outside facing a small lake, her teaching is wonderful. She provides just the right level of feedback letting everyone go at his or her own pace.Christophe

Bright Tree Yoga is wonderful. Roxane is knowledgeable and caring. She provides outstanding yoga and I always feel great after every class. I was brand new to yoga when I started at Bright Tree a few years ago, and Roxane's instruction has helped me modify poses across the years as my yoga practice has grown.

After my classes up I will never return. The classes are definitely not for beginnings. I’m in pain after I get home for 2-3 days.

I have started taking yoga class with Roxane and she is wonderful! I was searching for a class that would fit my busy schedule, provide a calming atmosphere and be close to home. I was so excited to learn that Bright Tree Yoga was in my neighborhood and after taking an initial class, I have been hooked. I truly enjoy my time with Roxane each week and feel renewed when I leave. I even brought my daughter when she was home from college and she came with me every chance she had. Bright Tree Yoga is amazing and highly recommended!

Roxane and Rachel's classes are wonderful. I go to the yin class Wed. nights and it is exactly what I need as a mid-week stress reliever (plus I sleep so well after that class). I also just got back from their weekend retreat which was FABULOUS! I will def being doing that again! Thank you Roxane and Rachel!

About two years ago, a friend asked me to go to yoga class with her...I needed to work on flexibility and balance, just for starters. Great decision!! Roxanne and Rachel accommodate us all, beginning and experienced yogis. There are always adaptions in poses for those of us with aches and issues. I’m always glad I attended class because when I leave, I leave in a better place...in mind, body, and soul. I highly recommend Bright Tree yoga!

Had my first class today. It was exactly what I needed. Nice slow flow with lots of options for modifications. As a yoga teacher myself I am very particular about the classes I go to. Roxanne has a special way about holding space for a group and giving you the freedom to do what you need to do to make the practice your own. Thank you!

After 3 years of not taking, I fell right in. I was so good the next day, posture was better, I felt taller and more aligned. More at peace. I have really missed taking yoga classes.

Roxana and Rachel are attentive and so helpful. They listen to their students. While they truly teach, they challenge students, while keeping in mind students' goals and limitations.

I was looking for place with yoga for a while, but has several specific things I was looking for. I don't like hot yoga, don't want to pay a fortune, don't want to drive across the triangle, and I'm pretty inexperienced/generally out of shape. So I'm providing a tall order. After doing some research, I found Bright Tree Yoga. They fit all the above requirements and had great reviews. I purchased a several class pack, and after just one class, I feel so good about my decision. The instructor was welcoming and offered great modifications to fit a diverse class. The class size was small, which I loved. I left feeling calmer and challenged in strength and balance - perfect for me! A few notes - not necessarily bad - just things I was surprised by. It's in a karate studio, so you're constantly staring at yourself in a mirror. I liked that for checking alignment, but also feel like it made people (me) more self-conscious and prone to compare, which isn't great for yoga. Also, the instructor didn't do yoga with us, which is totally fine. She led the class expertly, just something I've never experienced in a class before. I'll definitely be back to finish out my purchase package of classes, and probably even beyond that. Grateful to know about Bright Tree!

If you're looking for a great yoga studio, I highly recommend Bright Tree Yoga. I've been going for several years now and Roxane and Rachel are excellent teachers for all levels. They offer a variety of classes and days/times so it's easy to fit classes in to your schedule and it's a very welcoming environment with no judgement. I love how they continue to encourage us and offer modifications so anyone (of any age or fitness level) can participate.
