Mordecai Historic Park is a beautiful place with gorgeous grounds and cool old buildings. Several historical buildings, some moved to the park for preservation, are close together on the remaining few acres. It is a lovely spot for a picnic, playtime, or to simply walk around. Visitors recommend taking a tour to go inside the buildings and hear the history of the buildings and grounds, which can be done with a guide or via a self-guided tour brochure. Sometimes there are demonstrations by people in period clothes. A trolley tour loads on the property, and there is a small museum and gift shop across the street.
Best tour I've ever had from Anaka. Not sure I spelled her name correctly. So knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend it to gain additional insights on the unique family history.
