Hours: Raleigh Rescue Mission is a place for those experiencing homelessness to find a pathway to recovery from homelessness and re-enter into a loving life through their New Life Plan. This plan is transforming lives through loving care, job training & placement, transportation, financial coaching, and permanent housing. They help women and children get on their feet and give classes on budget and cooking. For those in need of food, they offer sack lunches. Some have found the program very good, describing it as 100% free with the expectation to save money. They offer training to learn skills about how to get a job. One reviewer mentioned they helped them get their G.E.D. and learn to push through life's circumstances. However, some experiences suggest that not everyone is helped, and people can be turned away. One reviewer felt they were judged and denied help despite being open and honest. Another felt the program's timeline for job searching was counterproductive for those who already possessed certain skills.
