Because I have to give a star...never answer phone. Slow service. Pray you don't need to get vehicle fixed they won't help. Got reservation for compact car... due to price and gas prices. They only had full size trucks. Tried to exchange throughout time for smaller car and was told only big trucks. With gas near $4 why would you only have big trucks and bad mpg. Do not use them!!

Made a reservation. The lady working the counter was very nice. However, their driver’s license scanner cannot scan the REAL ID compliant driver’s licenses. I asked, but apparently there is no manual entry option. As a result, she could not check-in and rent me the car. Why would you not have a manual check-in option if you know your scanner cannot scan the government mandated REAL IDs?

The lady at the counter is so helpful, she very friendly and understand what I need. I had bad experience from the car that I picked up from jfk, the lady here helped me fix the issue. A+ for her help.

Total rip off! I wish I had read their reviews before booking. I reserved a car for a weekend trip to Jacksonville NC. My flight doesn’t arrive until 9:30pm however they close at 8pm. I asked if there’s anyway I could get the car at 9:30pm. They told me the car will be held for 24 hours. So how am I getting to my hotel? And then back to airport to pick up the car in the morning when they open? They had no solutions and when I decided to cancel my reservation within 24 hours of making it, they charged me $50. You got me Dollar Car Rental but you will never get my money again!

By far the worst experience, I rented and reserved a full size, was given a Flintstone car where my luggage wouldn't even fit, then was told they tried to call me to tell me there was no available cars but dialed 591 instead of 561 area code, after I reserved, paid and confirmed. Honestly mistakes happen and I always try to look at the brighter side of situations but the agent was absolutely RUDE from the minute my daughter and I walked in, literally told me not to trash the car. I had 2 reservations, one for compact and one for full size, but got nothing. Thankfully Austin at Enterprise counter was able to help me. Now I'm dealing with a refund after I was told the reservation would be cancelled. Dollar, please work on customer service skills at that center. #J9601806844

Worst experience ever. I reserved and paid for a rental through Expedia. When I got to the counter they refused to rent to me because I didn't have a flight out of their airport. This left me stranded with my toddler. Completely unacceptable. Thankfully Expedia refunded me; however, I am now left with trying to find a way back to Michigan with my toddler.

Horrid. I would not rent here, work here, or even ask for directions here. Nichole is beyond rude, terrible, disrespectful, and constant attitude. They rented our car to some one else and did not have a replacement. I was met with "nothing I can do" "could be 1 hour could be 6 hours" and much more. Do not recommend. Do not rent.

After tripling their regular charges, they literally left me stranded at the airport. I set my pick up time and yet they failed to have anyone available to fill the reservation. Of course the other rental agencies were there but had no vehicles available BECAUSE THEY HONOR THEIR RESERVATIONS. Never will I use this company again.

Just straight up don't use this agency especially this location. Everytime I use dollar rental they mess up my order, give me a vehicle that is messed up or give me a vehicle that is clearly in a lower rank class (a Toyota corolla is not a full sized vehicle). I generally call ahead to make sure my reservation is good prior to showing up and even after doing that they still have messed up reservations or don't have any vehicles to give me even though I called an hour prior. Very unprofessional and difficult agency to work with.

We rented a car from here over 3 months ago, everything went smoothly on our part, we paid extra for rental insurance, our car was completely untouched and we had no problems turning it back in. 3 months later we get a phone call from a rude lady that works there trying to tell us that we had damaged one of the windows and that we didn’t have any insurance on it! Absolutely terrible customer service and the way they handle business is awful. The fact they didn’t write down that we had paid insurance on it and also accusing us 3 whole months down the road that we “damaged” it is what breaks the deal here. Car was in perfect condition the last time we saw it and anything could’ve happened to it in the 3 month time span. On top of the rude lady giving us an awful attitude and hanging up on us twice. 1-star for me, don’t give them any business.

If I could give less than 1 I would. They closed the counter at 6pm when they knew they reservations. The flight was delayed got in by 845 no one there. Called Ebony the manager repeatedly. No answer. Booked thru Amex travel. Will never use Amex travel or dollar again.

A year ago we returned our rented vehicle here. We got rear ended during our rental and took all the necessary precautions including filing a police report and notifying dollar & insurance. Upon returning the vehicle, the representative told us we owed $500 in damages because we didn’t purchase hertz insurance... We had our own insurance as well as third party insurance that I purchased upon renting. The rep told us that once the other car owner involved in the accident paid the damages, that we would get reimbursed. We shouldn’t have had to pay that regardless and I’ve been told by numerous people from the company that we should not have owed that. Over the past year, I have communicated with a countless amount of people from this location, customer service, third party billing companies and corporate and have yet to receive a reimbursement.

Horrible experience; much room for customer service / experience improvement. We were flying into Jacksonville from Boston via Charlotte. Extreme weather had been going through the state and Charlotte was a mess with delayed flights. We attempted repeatedly to contact Dollar about this and to inform them that we would be arriving late without any success. We arrived at Jacksonville 2 to 3 hours late and when we went to the Dollar counter we were informed by the agent that our car had been given away and they did not have one for us. There was no sense of apology, sympathy, or compassion. Further worsening the experience; They had made no attempt to contact us to see where we were...which if they had called they would have been able to speak with us because we were still on the ground in Charlotte. They made no attempt to see that our flight was delayed; which wouldn't have been hard because not many flights come in and out of the airport each day.
