“This was our first time shopping at Fred's Food Club. As soon as we walked in the door, we were greeted by store staff members cheerfully with smiles. The store appears small on the outside, but once inside, it was well stocked, the shelves were full of various items, everything you need for your kitchen. The prices were comparable to other larger food clubs, except there are no membership fees!!! I will shop there again.”
“We can always find great food and snacks at just the right prices. There are a few name brand items but most are Aldi brands and we have never been disappointed by any of their brand items.”
“This place is as good as it gets when getting unloaded at a receiver it's always in n out. There is a small lumper fee so have come checks or cash. You can park overnight and there are facilities close by. No restrooms after hrs. They also offer truck parking long term if for any reason you may need that. I been coming here for years never has one issue ever easy to deal with and very respectful Always thank you guys for being like that much appreciated.”

“Came to this location to cash a check at customer service. The cashiers that were there were definitely following the "count on me" procedure. I used to work for this company for 11 years and know atleast that part. The store was tidy and the employees were polite. As for my personal service with my transaction... perfect and friendly she was. She told me her name and I only asked because I admired her genuine personality. I know that the time was 14:33:08 from my receipt. Thank you guys for servicing me today...”

“I order my groceries from the one on Tarboro Street. Charlotte is the best and so is Rashard. I've only had one substitute I didn't like. I tried to change it, but the check out happened too quickly. Overall, I'm pleased and glad they offer Pick Up service.”

“We were visiting the area and visited thr Farmers Market on the right day! Today is Watermelon Day! One ice cream booth was handing out FREE watermelon ice cream. It was delicious! There's sooo much great produce and homemade products here. You need to stop by when you can. It's worth it!”

“Heard about this place on social media, and then it was reinforced by a North Carolina native whose dad and his buddies regularly make trips from Raleigh just to stock up on their homemade food items. That was all the recommendation I needed.
I made a quick stop while driving home from Atlanta to Norfolk with very limited cooler space and grabbed some chicken salad, pimento cheese, spicy pickled quail eggs, and mild sausage.
Everything was outstanding. I actually waited to write this review until I had tried everything, and not a single item disappointed. The sausage was fun to throw on the grill and was absolutely fantastic. It wasn't greasy at all, had a hearty texture, and was packed with flavor. Honestly, I could have eaten the entire package myself.
The chicken salad was an absolute hit with everyone who tried it. I loved that it was simple, fresh, and made with recognizable ingredients. It was being restocked while I was there, and I knew it had to be good when people were grabbing containers from both sides of the employee before she could even get them into the cooler. My only mistake was buying just a pint.
The pimento cheese was also excellent, and that's saying something because I'm not usually a big pimento cheese person. The spicy quail eggs had great pickle flavor with plenty of heat.
Next time, I plan to try more of their pickled items, homemade spices, sauces, and jams. I'm especially looking forward to getting their hot sausage and country sausage on a future trip. This place definitely lived up to the hype, and I'll be making it a pretty regular stop whenever I'm passing through the area.
Oh. I also want to try some of their prepared food like chicken and dumplings which I heard was a traditional southern style of the dish! Will update!”
