“Just this week, 04/21/2026.
Had a truck battery die and my other vehicle was not functional at the time.
Don't have any family around or close friends that could hit up for a favor.
Called AutoZone in St Paul's not expecting much but I asked if they had a delivery service locally. I spoke to the shop manager I can't remember her name but a very kind soul. She told me they normally do commercial deliveries but at first said there may be someone here tomorrow that can do that. You gave me a name and contact but then said oh wait I have someone here that may be able to drive over there tonight. A very impressive young man named Matt delivered the battery it was wrong one drove back got a different one came back and installed it and sat around for just a few minutes and talked shop. Extremely extremely impressed with these folks going above and beyond exceptionally to help out a local neighbor. These folks need to be commended and I'm only regretful that I can't remember the manager's name but I know it was a female. To Matt, that young man has a very promising future right attitude right intelligence and obviously given life lessons by extremely good parents.
I've been through a lot of seriously bad things in the past 7 years more than most people could have dealt with and just little things like this make me realize yeah it's worth putting one foot in front of the other everyday.”
