I always get a great cut for me and my daughter no matter who the stylist is. She's in a wheelchair and they make accommodations for her. The bathroom is very wheelchair accessible too so we love that.

Madison is my favorite hairstylist there. She listens to what you want and if you’re indecisive she helps you figure it out. She is good at what she does and is all around a great person! She is the only one I will go to! Thank you Madison for all the hair cuts you give me and my kids!

Ramie did an awesome job giving my son a fresh cut for his first day back at school! My son is autistic and she did an amazing job with handling his sensory issues and made the whole thing fun for him! The cut she gave him was so great too, just like the picture we showed her that he liked! We appreciate her so much for the whole experience!! Will definitely be bringing him back to see her!

~PROCEED WITH CAUTION~
I came in this week for a trim before a big trip and ended up with an uneven cut and 4 inches off my hair. I started my appointment by telling the stylist I was working on growing my hair out and wanted to keep as much length as possible. I reiterated multiple times throughout the appointment that I liked my current cut and just wanted it trimmed. Rather than listening to me or communicating, she chose to chop my hair. I tried to keep telling myself she hadn’t taken that much off, until I got home and started looking at it. I found entire sections that hadn’t been cut and others that were completely uneven! At that point it was undeniable that she had taken 4 inches off my hair rather than just a trim! I have spent the last year and a half growing my hair out and now I’m going on a big trip with not only a completely different and way shorter cut, but one that was horribly done!
The stylist did not introduce herself so I don’t know her name. I know she is new to the location but she said she has been a cosmetologist for 20 years and working at Great Clips for 11 years. She also shared thinking that continuing education hours for cosmetologists is just a money grab and that she doesn’t pay attention anyway because they “already know everything.” With that statement, I question if she’ll be willing to learn from her mistakes and improve.
I know there are other very kind and good cosmetologists at this location. I am giving this rating as a warning of at least one stylist to be cautious of and hopefully save someone this same situation. I was shocked and so sad about my hair. This isn’t something that should happen especially by a seasoned stylist!

I'm extremely satisfied with my experience at the Shallotte location. Julia was prompt and courteous, and her work was outstanding. I'm so happy with how my hair turned out, and I'm looking forward to my next appointment with Julia. Thank you so much Julia. I appreciate you so so much for fixing my hair.

Great service! Extremely friendly! Always come here! Had Julia this time, and she made extra sure to pay close attention to my skin folds! Handled with care, used the good oils to keep the moisture in them folds, too! Just come after 6pm if you’re needing that extra fold gentle hold! Top notch!
