Updating my previous rating. Went there to get new tires put on back in May. 3 days later I'm driving and my car catches fire (not blaming them for that, just btw)! I go to get receipts of the new tires for insurance to get a little money back for that. I tell the guy who was doing the tire change and says "that doesn't surprise me". What?! So you saw something that made you think that would/could happen and you didn't say anything?!Update: One employee does not reflect on the whole business and the rest of them are amazing!!! Lisa and Linda and Lee are great people who do care. I will come back in the future ☺️

This is my first Google review. My hope is this helps someone else and to give Quality 1st Automotive their much deserved praise. While traveling, my car started to die (alternator). It was close to the end of the business day, I was as not familiar with the area and made the call to Quality 1st. The kindest lady answered and immediately started helping me. I got my vehicle towed there after hours and they worked to get me back on the road by the following morning. I felt very fortunate in an otherwise stressful situation. 5 stars all around. Thank you!

I have been going to quality first all year. I've spent thousands here. Yet this was my worst experience with a mechanic I have ever had. I called Tuesday December 14 to see what I should do about my vehicle stalling. I had a dead battery but when I jumped it and removed the jumper cables it would stall. I went and bought a battery at an auto parts store but was told if the problem was the alternator I could fry the new battery. I decided after recommendations from quality first, to not install the new battery and have it towed to quality first for diagnosis. I was assured if I didn't need an alternator I would not be charged for it. I NEVER received a call about the diagnosis. I did get a call at 10:24am on December 15 saying the alternator was the problem and I could pick up my vehicle. I was unable to make it on the 15th to pick it up but I did pay and get the keys on the 15th. I went with my wife to pick it up December 16th at 7am and it stalled three times in the parking lot. So, I left it there and called at 8am to let them know the situation. I was called back at 9:12am and told it was not stalling and it couldn't be diagnosed unless it stalled again. Thinking it may have been a fluke, I went back at 3pm to pick it up. When I got back, it stalled more times than I could count. At this point I asked for a mechanic and my old alternator back. They rudely informed me they had swapped it for the core and assured me the alternator was new. The mechanic ran diagnosis on it to no avail. He basically told me I could leave it with them and maybe they could figure out what was wrong. He ultimately recommended I take it to the chevrolet dealer. So that is exactly what I did. I question that my vehicle was diagnosed at all. I question that the alternator needed to be replaced as it's having the same problem as before and now I'm out $412. I am beside myself that this mechanic that I trusted and has had impeccable service in the past has treated a repeat customer this way, especially during the Christmas season. I would not recommend quality first to anyone and I will not be back.Service: Battery

After a bad experience with the local Chevy dealership it took me a while to trust anyone else to take a look at my Tahoe. But the name “Quality 1st” made me look these guys up and all the positive reviews I saw encouraged me to give them a try. I communicated with them completely over the phone (aside from wife dropping off the Tahoe) and the service I received was very well deserving of their name. They were always super nice when I called them and very informative about what was the plan. Long story short, my truck is fixed, all the issues are gone and my wife is happy that it’s all resolved. These guys are great at what they do, they are very fairly priced and I believe these guys are my go to shop from here on out. I am very picky and OCD about my vehicle and who works on it. I've been going to the same specialist for 7+ years and after just 1 visit to Quality 1st Auto... I won't ever look back to the shop I came from. I cannot stress how thorough of a job Quality 1st Auto did. I was kept informed and up to date on every detail while my car was in the shop. Things were found, corrected, and fixed that others failed to even notice. I was given options, not ultimatums, on different courses of action to accomplish certain goals which I greatly appreciated because it allowed me to choose which path suited my needs best. I would recommend anyone to Quality 1st and feel confident that it will be one of, if not the best service experience you could ask for. Highly skilled and extremely knowledgeable! I was also very pleased to feel welcomed. Some shops do not treat the guy spending $500 the same as the guy spending $5,000 but I felt that my business was appreciated and wanted! Which is why I wouldn't hesitate to make the 2 hour trip from the triad area. I will definitely be back and will refer anyone I know your way!Services: Steering/Suspension
