“I recently went in the store looking for a gift for my Grandmother and Mother. The extremely lovely ladies working were not only knowledgeable but patient due to my lack of knowledge. Only downside is I feel a small dog would have been great to be greated by when I walked in the beautiful store.”

“The Island Art & Book store is really an amazing place. So many different types of paintings and pictures that really tell a story about how beautiful and pleasant this side of NC truly is. But, then there are the books. Oh boy, what a selection. Local books on the past and present of all the beaches in the area. Also, books on many other topics, sea life, turtles, cooking, drinks you name it's there. Let's not forget the beautiful sea art jewelry that they sell. So beautiful and nice I must say. If you're looking for a unique gift for someone this is the go to place. Take time to look at the old map prints they have for sale as well. Everything in this store tells a story. If you read this review give it a thumbs up as it lets me know people are seeing what I post.”

“LOVED LOVED this independent book store. I found a book for my daughter and 2 records for myself. This book store is such a vibe and they were playing good music which made me stay longer. The owner was super nice and friendly and was greeted right when walked into the door. This is a must stop and you will not be disappointed.???”

“Was greeted when I walked in which I appreciated. The store is fairly compact, but I loved every second of it. I've lived here from NC for maybe 3 years now? Hunted for decent book shops and somehow overlooked this one. I love exploring Cherry Grove beach and this was the first day I noticed it. So I was super surprised to say the least. This is a genuine mom and pop type book shop. It's got the wonderful bookstore vibe and has a banger collection. Some major series they basically had the entire collection. Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, and I even found books 1-3 of a series I've never heard of that I now wanna read. But to top it off, they have actual rare books. I found an occult book that I've never seen before (as a practicing Pagan, I've seen my share of occult/metaphysical books). Well, got curious and looked it up on ThriftBooks the app, was $122 on there but $27 at the store. Let that be your guide on pricing. This is a must stop shop for any book lover. Love that it's near the coast as it's a convenient place to shop for a nice new beach read. And you're supporting local! I love BAM but I'll go local any day over big stores.”
