“I live in TN and and come here on vacation. We stopped in at the dollar general.had a hard time with my card. The man cashier t helped me fix my card so I could buy stuff.i can't thank him enough for his help.he restores my faith in people. I hope you can find out who is is and give him a big pat on the back.it was the store by the Brunswick campground. Thank you.”
“Most of the staff are a pleasure and helpful. The kitchen/grill staff are always grumpy and have a negative attitude. I enjoy going here to eat because it's close to home but the rudeness of the grill staff makes me search for other places to eat”
“Everything you need is in one stop. Grocery, trinkets, small appliances, bedding, deli, full service butcher dept, real bakery, they even make sushi right in front of you. You name it, they have it. Even shoes. Lol”
“If you are vacationing in OIB and don't want a sit-down restaurant meal every night, consider visiting the Publix deli. The sandwiches are yummy and absolutely huge. We couldn't finish our food in one meal, so we had it for dinner and lunch the next day. I had the Italian sub and my wife got a buffalo chicken sub, which was basically a bread boat filled with chicken. Regular grocery prices are higher than what I'm used to, but tourism, I guess. Some of the product placement seemed odd (how come the paper towels were with the cleaning supplies instead of with the other paper products?), but that’s a minor quibble. The store is clean (except for the golf tee in the men's room sink and I don't want to think about why it was in there or what it was used for), the staff is incredibly friendly, and we would certainly return.”
“I loved walking around & seeing all the specialty items. What a treat! THERE IS SO MUCH TO OFFER. The milk is better there too. Prices are higher than everyone else's but the quality makes up for it. Convenience & quality. Thats my store.”
“Beautiful, clean, upscale, well-appointed grocery store. Had good prices (for a beach town) & it was easy on & out with plenty of parking.
Got a loyalty card for the week we were there & it REALLY helped with cost (there were 12 of us & we shared the card. ;)”
“I have been living in Supply NC for 3 year's now. When I want a good quality meat at a descent price, I go to Hills Supermarket. I have been cooking for 45 Year's, 28 of those year's in the public. I am very picky about what I purchased, if you want your money's worth then shop with them. They are Awesome”
“What looks like a plain old gas station from the road is actually a good-vibes-only outpost for hungry musicians, fishermen, and beach bums alike. Sheffield’s is our jam whenever we roll through Ocean Isle — fresh local shrimp for the fishin’ line, chicken for the crab pots, and even people food that’ll make you feel like you’re headlining a seafood festival. Grouper, shrimp, crab legs — all fresh and ready to rock.
They’ve got the kind of grocery stash that saves you from driving over the bridge — onions, lemons, spices, kid snacks, and a solid beer and wine selection that hits the right notes every time. Family-owned with friendly staff that treat you like part of the crew.
Our tour pup, Dolly Parton, got her first whiff of pompano, whiting, and even a baby shark (doo doo doo doo) thanks to Sheffield’s bait. Bonus points for fair gas prices and for how much fishing gear they actually have in there—everything you need.
Sheffield’s is the ultimate encore stop for your Ocean Isle gig. keep on jammin’, y’all!”
“They do a great job there to keep in stock during tourist season. Not easy with the huge influx of visitors. This is the only grocery store in a 10-mile radius.”
“I've been using online ordering for 5 years now and always satisfied until the last two months. They got rid of insta cart and are now using Flybuy which is horrible.
I can no longer track shopping. Messages concerning unavailable items arrive after shopping is complete so there's no way to approve or disapprove of substitutions.
I'm very unhappy with this new method of shopping.
I'm handicapped and depend on online shopping.
Very disturbing.”
“I love Lowe's Food Store ! I shop at two different locations one being Ocean Isle Beach, NC and the other Little River, SC. Both stores are very well stocked and clean. Associates and staff are very friendly and very helpful. I love the Little River location on Wednesday senior citizens get 5% off the grocery bill unfortunately Ocean Isle Beach does not honor the senior citizens on Wednesday! I also earn five s*** off every hundred I spend for gas which I purchase in Little River at their Lowes Food gas station very convenient!”
“Indeed, this is a very classy business, run by a group of people who are 100% professional. I would suggest them to anyone looking for very modern and delicious cuisine. Thank you to the Leavitts and the whole crew at Caviar Star.”

“Tienda Mexicana is a family own business! Open everyday of the week 9-10 they never are closed unless it’s for family events ! The owner is a very dedicated grandfather and likes to be there for all his grandchildren events he’s an amazing guy !”
“Stopped here recently for a few things, and proceeded to self checkout where I encountered Associate Wendy Cummings.
This young lady not only greeted me with a smile but, found coupons attached to some of my items that I was unaware of, and made sure they were all scanned, and I received the proper discounts.
She thanked me for my business and bid me a farewell wrapped in an authentic smile.
Definitely a star performance, that insures my future patronage at this location.”
“Top Notch Folks, store when in stock has a veg/fruit section most of the time freshest ive ever got anywhere in my life. Never have nor still haven't seen this else where. Think Corp should pay them all quite abit more all things ( considered )its a dern tax write off anyway. Smh”
“Usually a very pleasant experience. Been going there for years. Miss Sherry Miss Peggy and the rest of the crew very personable. I'll continue to be a loyal customer 😊”
“I frequently shop at the 1351 Bricklanding Rd Shallotte store and just wanted to say Thank you to Sheila. Every time I go in there to shop Sheila is always so helpful. This store was in such disarray back before Sheila took over and fixed it. Thank you Sheila!”
“I’m sure I don’t have to remind anyone reading this that there are Dollar General stores popping up like weeds all over the country, and if you live in the Myrtle Beach (Horry County) area, you can’t drive 10 miles without passing at least one DG store. I live right across the border in Sunset Beach, NC and purposely go out of my way to drive and shop at THIS LOCATION despite there being TWO closer DG locations to my home. Why? Outstanding and unsurpassable customer service. The employees at this DG are some of the nicest and most professional I’ve ever encountered in a Dollar General (and I’ve lived all over the east coast: FL, WI, IL, NY, MA, AL, etc.). One employee in particular that always makes my shopping experience a better one is Stacie (i’m sorry if i spelled your name incorrectly, girl! lol.) thanks for being such a great worker and hospitable clerk. Give this girl a raise!”
“The ladies were nice as always, asked if I needed help and If I was ready to check out. Store was mostly clean besides a few uboats being worked (understandable.) Overall pleasant experience.”
“A quick stop shopping place with so many items I love to go to when in hurry.
Size of packaging is reducing and prices going up which really upsets me. It's everywhere. Clean store with helpful, friendly staff.”
“This location was clean and even tho there were a lot of shoppers I had no issues navigating the store. All the associates were friendly and engaging. Didn't even have to wait to check out either.”
“Always stop here every morning on the way to work and it's always a good experience. My go to location for my needs on the go. Manager and employees are always friendly and prompt.”
“Clean, nice people, in a small mall and next to a couple of gas stations and other stores like Walgreens. There’s also a Bank of America close by and a museum. Same variaty as any other food lion but with more beach products which can be very convenient if you are visiting our heading to the beach which is close.”
