“Me and my family have had some bad luck with cars lately. Last month our Honda Civic was totaled while we were driving with our daughter in the car, everyone was fine but the vehicle. We weren't able to get anything for the car which was our daily driver, so we decided to fix up our old truck and get it moving again. We have had countless issues with the thing but my husband got it working and we made sure it was good to go through another mechanic.
We had to take it back again for a second alignment so something was off, but we got the thumbs up from the mechanic we saw in Lincolnton where we are living, so we started driving the old thing.
We decided to go for a day trip to the beach, and as we head about halfway there our abs sensor starts going off. We couldn't pin point the issue and it was too late to turn back, so we kept on moving. We were two mins away from Holden Beach when the car started to stall! We decided to find the nearest mechanic, which was Parrish automotive.
Immediately upon arrival, Chris and Travis greeted us and we were able to discuss the issues. Chris was extremely knowledgeable and confident in helping us. He got straight to the point. Travis was so outgoing, kind and respectful! You could tell the dude was super laid back and just plain friendly.
After a diagnosis we were told by Chris that he could get a part for our car but wouldn't be able to get to it until the morning. I booked a nearby hotel that allowed dogs because we literally had our entire family with us (me, my husband, our daughter and our lab mix). After booking, Chris mentioned he knew someone that had a nearby hotel which I thought was extremely considerate. I told him it was alright, that we found a dog friendly place available in shallote.
After all said and done and Chris took the keys, Travis actually offered us a ride to the beach in his truck! We were able to pack up all our things in there which was a lot of stuff, and give our four year old daughter and three year old dog an awesome afternoon as planned.
After two or so hours at the beach, we got a call from Chris. Turns out they were able to get the truck working that afternoon instead! Incredible. So guess what happened next? Travis was actually still in the area and came to pick us all back up, sandy and everything. This dude is so cool, seriously. They went ABOVE AND BEYOND for us. Unbelievable hospitality.
These guys have been in the neighborhood for generations as Travis explained on the ride, and I believe they hold great pride in their town and understand the true meaning of southern hospitality, as I now do understand and have experienced as well thanks to them. We are kinda obvious transplants with an out of state license plate, but that did not stop them from doing the most and being such kind and understanding people. I have never been so grateful, and this experience will be something I will remember and make sure to tell others about.
So, what was originally just a spontaneous day trip turned disaster, turned into a two day vacation with our car worries behind us. I wish I could do more for these guys, but I remember Travis saying in the ride back that things have been good to him, so he decided to give some good back. Pay it forward y'all!!! And thank you. Not only did y'all help us with our vehicle but you really showed us the way y'all do it around here, and I have nothing but respect for these guys.

Ps, car is running great, zero issues. Our last mechanic took 8 hours and had us driving on a faulty wheel barring. Took Chris two hours and a phone call. Highly recommended.”

“Coming down to the beach; I heard grinding noises under my car.. I looked under the car and noticed my splash guard was hanging down and rubbing against the pavement .. I was down here by myself so didn’t know who to call. It was almost 4 pm so I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find anywhere to get it fixed. I called TD Automotive and they told me to come on in. I arrived and they were so accommodating and had my Honda in and out in 5 minutes. They were so kind and helpful and did not charge me anything. I give them 5 stars because they were wonderful in all areas. From being Warm and receptive on the phone listening to my concern to fixing my issue and getting me in and out quickly. “After pulling into the campground here in Supply, NC after traveling all day from Mooresboro, NC I noticed my inside rear tire on my dually very low on air. I stopped in to Pates Tire at 6:30pm on the eve of Thanksgiving to see if they could help me out. Without hesitation, he told me to pull in and he’d take a look. 20 minutes later, I had a plug and holding air and on my way. Thank you very much for your time and great customer service!!!!!!”
