When approaching the counter I was greeted friendly but it quickly turned into the rudest customer service experience ever! I was sending my husband’s care package for deployment and was told I didn’t label the box and needed to fill out the address form, which was fine with me but I said oh okay I thought the customs form went on it so I didn’t know and I apologized, then Edward proceeded to say that they always have them filled out and that’s just how it is, which I responded that I had sent a box 2 weeks prior and did not have to do that so I was sorry I was unaware and then Edward makes a scene with a line full of people trying to make me look like an idiot. He continued to raise his voice at me and said who was it that didn’t have you fill out the address slip? Me? Him? Pointing at his coworker, and I said no I was at the New River location and he then chuckled and was like oh well that’s why because we’ve been here forever and always make you fill this out. I then responded I will keep my business at New River post office. I should never have to feel incompetent sending a package. If he is customer service then he should help me to understand the process of sending a care package. I had the most important part, the customs form filled correctly and that was my only understanding of what I had to do, with my previous experience at a much friendlier location. His coworker Omar also was very rude to me backing up Edward and making a scene. I also witnessed Omar belittling the customer he currently had about her coming late on a Friday afternoon and it was her fault she procrastinated and not his fault. How can you have a location have two of the rudest people in “customer service” I will drive 45 min out of my way to never support this business again.

These are some of the hardest working & underappreciated folks that you will encounter on a daily basis. They do a fantastic job!

I have the greatest mail delivery people! We get a pile of deliveries a few times a week and they bring it right to my door and make sure it’s safe, secure and always dry! I am so grateful for never missing a package! These people are unsung heroes! Thank you! Thank you!

4th time that mail mysteriously gets lost in her van.
Always seem to find it when I call and make them look for it.
Discusting, Pathetic, On drugs and don't care.
Everyone in this location needs to be drug tested now.
Worst Service you can get.

Edward did a great job with assisting the customers with finding the right size flat rate box for shipping. He even helped the customers tape the boxes for shipment. The customer service was top notch.

These people do not get enough appreciation for what they do, yeah sometimes they can make mistakes, just like everyone else but I think they do an amazing job!

I had to contact the office so many packages and mail was being delivered to other houses in my neighborhood. House number and street name is not even close. I had neighbors, people I didn’t even know deliver my mail and packages to me. I also had a package that never showed up. Flowers delivered to another location but the delivery stated it was handed to me. Haha. Yeah, handed to someone else.
The office was attentive and apologetic but also told me the deliver lady was new and not used to the area. Sorry, that is a lame excuse. I didn’t know you had to be familiar with the neighborhood to recognize street names and house numbers.
I also have 2 postal people on video literally tossing packages on my porch. A good 10-15 foot distance.
We recognize good service and the original delivery lady was good. She deserved a Christmas gift every year. Then she retired. Things are better now since we called and report our issues. I thank you for that.
I also been having delayed deliveries and the packages is sitting in the truck but missed the drop. It happens. Especially around the busy season.

This is getting ridiculous now. My package today did not get delivered. The postal worker said they didn't have access to my property at 2:38pm but said they delivered my mail at 1:03 pm I didn't receive either

I pretty routinely get amazon packages delayed ridiculously because their delivery truck flat out refuses to even load large packages. I reported it to higher up at USPS after about the 5th or 6th issue and then a few days later one of the drivers told me that the package was too big for their truck. I'm pretty sure they punch it in that it was 'attempted delivery' before they even leave, and never actually load it onto the truck or attempt anything. I don't understand why USPS is accepting delivery of packages if they're too big for them to deliver.
The thing that gets me is that they'll later update the tracking with things like 'mailbox is full' (when the mailbox was empty and the package is clearly way too big for a mailbox) or something about the recipient requested package to be held at USPS location, when I did no such thing. It's just lazy and deceptive on their part, and is so dang frustrating.
Then I guess they expect me to drive 30 mins over and 30 mins back just to pick up a package that was supposed to be dropped off at my door. It's gotten me literally reaching out to Amazon customer support asking them to stop using USPS for any of my orders. UPS has no problems... but I can almost guarantee there's going to be some delay when I see a USPS tracking #.

Don't know how far this will go but something needs to be done. Had a driver open my package removed it from the bag just to make all the packages fit in the mailbox. Last I checked it was a federal crime to open someone mail.

My folks have had consistent issues with the delivery services. Packages not being shipped on time or at all. Had an issue myself recently where my own package was delivered to the wrong house. The resident was nice enough to call me and tell me about it, but otherwise I would have been out of luck. Being worried if something I paid for will arrive or not, or even be in someone else's hands should not be part of my or anyone else's day and is just needless worry.

If I can give - 0 stars I would! The postal clerk wt the counter refuses to accept my packages for shipment. Any other post office takes them gladly. It can be 3 ounces off and he makes me redo the label. I sent in a very important package today with a prepaid business label that has an online account with USPS and he refused to take it. The QR codes on the package are for shipping rate adjustments. This is 2024! Scan the label scan the code to charge any extra if it’s necessary. All the other post offices take them! From Morehead city, havelock, Hubert, Maysville, Emerald Isle. This is the closest usps to me and I need to get a shipment sent and it’s refused. Even if you adjust the rate a few ounces online the price stays the same.
