Marathon is a good stop for gas, ice, and snacks at the lake. They don't jack the gas prices up because they are near a recreational area. The gas is the cheapest in Vance county. The grill's food is home cooked and really good. Cashiers are quick most of the time. The service is accommodating, even opening late for a customer.

Competitive gas prices. Extraordinary fried chicken, freshly made on site, not frozen. Also breakfast and burgers.
