“I don't know if it really had just been renovated, but our room looked brand new. The carpet had no sign of wear and was spotless. I took off my sneakers and spent the rest of the evening in my white socks. Not a sign of dirt on the bottoms when I took them off. The wall and ceiling paint looked fresh. Even the caulk around the tub was a single layer that looked like it had just been applied. No patches, no mold. The staff was very friendly and the location was just across the road from shopping. This is the traditional style motel with two stories and outside entrances, but it has been meticulously maintained. Yes, I will stay here again when we are in the area.”
“This is a great location right in downtown Waynesville. You could walk straight to all the shops and restaurants downtown. The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. It is a really nice house and kept very clean.”
“First, consider this: There are three different entries in Yelp for the Parkway Inn that are for the same place. I looked at the reviews for all three entries, and they are about what I expected. However, I will relate my experience here instead of following the trends they state. Realistically, this motel is exactly what I expected it to be... a no-nonsense, no-frills motel that most people would use to spend the night in while they are travelling from one place to another. I was there for three nights while I went to a convention down the road, but my needs are light and it wasn't a problem. The rooms are small... the place was built many decades ago, my guess being in the 1950's or 1960's, and is your typical roadside motel model. The room I had was remodeled sometime in the last five to ten years, though the bathroom had not had much done to it. Beds were clean, didn't have any issues with them, and all of the appliances worked. There was a definite shortage of power plugs throughout the room, again noting that its construction was well before the power hungry world we now live in. The true saving grace of the room was the shower... the shower head wasn't one of those pitiful "rain" shower heads... it just blasted properly hot water down so that you would actually feel it, and it was glorious. No issues with the place... you get what you pay for and when looking at it from the outside, you can easily guess what it is going to be like.”

“The Waynesville Inn & Golf Club is a truly beautiful and unique place to stay, especially if you appreciate charm and history. The hotel is nearly a century old (99 years!), and it carries that vintage character in a really cool way.
The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Their customer service really stood out and made a big difference in our experience.
Our first night was in the original building, which was nicely furnished and definitely full of charm.
The next night, we were moved to a room at Brookside, and it was a great upgrade. The view was absolutely stunning.
The golf course is also fantastic—beautifully maintained with scenic Mountain View’s.
If you’re looking for a place with character, location, beautiful views, and great golf, this is definitely worth checking out.”
“We were originally camping and needed a last minute place to stay because it was getting down to 34 that night with two senior dogs. They were able to get us into the last pet friendly room they had available and were able to book me over the phone since I didn’t see anything available online. I think this last minute room was the best one in the lodge. Room 10. We had a door leading out of our room to the wrap around porch and a beautiful view of the mountain ridge. Breakfast was catered farm to table and was incredible fresh eggs bacon tomatoes mushrooms grits biscuits and home fries. I told them one of my dogs is passing soon and they even went to far as to make them both a special peanut butter banana bread cake for breakfast. It has a wonderful homey cabin feel with really cool crystals and artwork decorating the place. Crystals are available for purchase. Everyone was super friendly and happy to be there and that was the guests. The owners hospitality went above and beyond. Literally some of the sweetest people. We fell in love with the cozy dining area. So glad to support a family business and will definitely be back to visit even if it’s just to stay here!
If you’re looking for a place to stay pick here. It’s much better than any hotel or air bnb. It has the perfect mountain vacation vibes and is close to everything.”
