The most mediocre Mexican food I've ever had. None of the salsa's had much flavor and no heat at all. The beef usually nicely charred in other Mexican restaurants was not and had no flavor just like the rice. And the waiter was arrogant, uninterested and missing most of the time and there was barely anyone else there eating. Waste of $30 for 2 small portioned meals. We won't ever go back!

Try to call in. Gets disconnected. Thought it was just me but it's a SMALL town and everyone talks. If you call in a to go order they hang up.Let's be honest, Mexicans don't care if you call in. They hang up on you. Not racists. Try it for yourself. You're eating there, or you aren't getting food. ANYWAY, calling El Chapala. I'll give them my money. You want bland food and be ignored, eat here. You want real food and be served, eat El Chapala.Lifetime Local

I’ve had texmex around the world, and this is one of the best. A true gem of Weaverville.

I got hung up on twice over the phone. Thinking it was just a glitch, I walked in asking for five super burritos to go, to feed a landscape crew, carne asada. He was rude from the get-go, and railroaded me through a menu I didn’t want to look at and had trouble looking at, because of eyesight and the darkness inside. Eventually, when I asked what on the menu was the most like I said I asked for, and he pointed at it. I said OK, five of those. He asked if I want sauce on those, and I had already said, in Spanish, that I didn’t want them wet. The price was $75. I said no thank you and left, even more hungry and sorry for my crew, and quite sure I wouldn’t ever be back.

Me and my wife come here often and the food is good. We have heard of the other La Carretera just south of here as being horrible by multiple people, but this one is always busy. I just wish that they would stay open later on the weekends and maybe add a few things to the menu ?

ACP + zucchini, if you're feeling extra hungr + refried bean dip is DELISH with their fresh Tortilla chips sooo YUMMM!!! Literally the absolute best!! Officially addicted to this. Oh how I wish I could recreate it at home. That white cheese on bottom, the perfectly tender chicken, roasted ( or however they magically prepare it) zucchini. I can not even accurately describe the deliciousness.Parking: Decent, considering it's Weaver'Vegas nowKid-friendliness: Nice, musically pleasant atmosphere, great staff, even greater food!!

I have never had a bad experience with these guys. The food is always delicious, the service is always so fast and nice, we get seated really quickly, it's super cute, it's decently priced, etc etc. It's my favorite place to eat at this point. Me and my boyfriend go probably a few times a month cause we love them so much hahaParking: There's a big parking lot for the shopping plaza it's connected to so there's always plenty of parkingKid-friendliness: There are always children here and they always seem happy and have their cute little kids menu.
