Ive banked with Telco for many years (5+) and ive never had an issue until today. Be aware of dealing with the Branch Manager by the name Irving Perez, He was rude and basically just dismissed me. I had to call him out on his rudeness. No Customer should be made to feel this way.

Unfortunately I have my car loan thru these guys. I went in for a defer payment due to some things going on in my life. Paid the fee and they tell you usually the next day if it was approved or not. I had did a deferment the year before with a different branch manager and everything went perfect. This time was way different, they still didn't have a answer and the payment came out and over drew my account. The branch manager kept saying it will be next week. I have yet to hear anything on this 1.5 weeks later. I had asked if it got approved if they would just put it on the next payment or refund the payment and got nothing. I've went in multiple times and still nothing. To him this seems like a joke but to people that are having to make ends meet and truly needs help, it's not.

I’ve banked with Telco since i was in high school and they have always been so wonderful. They greet you as you walk in and staff is always smiling. They are always so understanding and helpful and if they don’t know an answer they go out of their way to find out. I deposit regularly here for my dad and they never give me a hard time. Highly recommend this bank as they are community based and stick by that!

Would not reccomend! Workers are moved from place to place so no familiar faces, lowest paying credit union in town so employees dont care about their jobs. Really needs to hire a new CEO and upper level management.

My experience has been very basic with this bank - checking/savings and notary services. In person they've been very friendly and helpful and I appreciate the small town neighborhood vibe when I do need to go into the bank. I appreciate that they do free checking/savings here with only a $5 minimum. The app is outdated with limited function; transferring money and bill pay is slow. Not a lot of ATM access when traveling outside of this region either. I would like to do more of my banking with a credit union than with a bank - however, I will continue to keep an account with a bank to do these other things with.

The staff at Telco Weaverville was happy, polite, and professional despite how busy they were. Michaela was a terrific help walking me through getting my personal and my business accounts set up. I am confident in and happy to be part of my local credit union. Thank you!

I've been a member at this bank for years (Weaverville, NC) and went through many different banks to end up here. My experience from everyday checking to buying 3 cars has always been great. It means a lot in my opinion when you find good customer service and someone you can trust with your money.

I don’t usually take the time to talk about my bank, but this time I felt it was worth a few moments of my time. I have been with telco for over 5 years and every time I have gone to them with a problem they have been quick to help! Reviews often show the negative but I honestly don’t have anything negative to say about all the staff in Weaverville and specifically Diane Ballard! Thanks for everything!!

Alisha was very helpful and friendly when I showed up with several things I needed assistance with. Reminded me why I switched from a big bank.

Waited 3 Hours on the phone to get a payoff on my car loan so I decided to have my daughter go to the Weaverville branch to have them respond and use her phone due to they could not make outbound calls to my phone or the dealership to give them the information. The branch was not busy they just don’t answer the phone due to it going to a call center. Another person at the dealership had the same problem so I gave them my phone with the loan person on the phone so they could purchase their car as well. Service is tough now but that is ridiculous.

My wife and I were in the middle of closing on our new house and we ended up having a huge problem with our bank in another state. We had used shared branching at Telco before, so as a last ditch effort, we went to telco to try to resolve our situation. Diane, the branch manager, went out of her way to help us. All of the staff at Telco helped and we were able to complete the transaction for our new home. I will be a member of this credit union for the rest of my life! No matter where life takes me. Thank you Diane! You are my hero!!
