Candlewood Suites Wilson by IHG is a nice place to stay, described as one of the nicest hotels with a great location. The hotel is noted as a nice place to stay while on vacation or for events like a family reunion due to its proximity. However, some rooms have significant issues. Problems include a bad, broken-down mattress, a bathroom door that would not shut, a nearly off toilet seat, terrible cable selection, and drapes that blow out from the AC. An odd smell in some rooms suggests a need for cleaning or filter changes. Guests are advised to watch their rates to ensure they are not raised unexpectedly. The staff is commended for going above and beyond, such as helping with room switches for a missing remote and proactively returning left clothing at their own expense. One of the best in Wilson. This is the only extended stay hotel in town and feels luxurious.

The rooms were ok. The bed though felt like I was sleeping on a cot; it was noisy and I could feel the springs. The employees were friendly and helpful. The location is good because it is less than a mile from shopping center and restaurants.
