About Fargo
Fargo station is a small train station with not-so-comfortable seating. It opens at midnight, which is convenient as the trains often arrive late, sometimes over an hour and a half behind schedule. The station attendants are not always the friendliest, and there have been occasions when the station was unstaffed, preventing passengers from checking their bags. Travelers are advised to call the station ahead of time to confirm if checked baggage service is available. While Amtrak trains can be unreliable due to freight train conflicts and breakdowns, most of the staff work hard to make the journey enjoyable. The food is better than airline offerings, and for long-distance trips, the sleeper cars provide a comfortable, private experience with meals included. Despite initial skepticism, the train from Fargo to St. Paul was found to be a great value at $48, with on-time service, ample seating, and a quiet, clean environment. Passengers also noted the convenience of the departure and arrival instructions. Travelers should be aware of ongoing road construction in the Fargo area, with reduced speed limits and potential traffic delays on I-94 and 13th Avenue.

I have to say I was rather skeptical at first. But for $48 from Fargo to St Paul I have to say it was well worth it!! The train was on time, comfy seats with lots of room, quiet, clean, easy departure and arrival instructions, etc. I would prefer the train to flying ANY day!!
