Concerns about my thinning hair brought me to see April at Final Touches. Not only did she help me get on track with healthier hair, but she also provided me with a petite topper and style to make me feel great for a special occasion. April worked through the challenges of my fine, thin hair without any problem. She was determined to find a solution that would bring me confidence. The Fargo-Moorhead area is lucky to have her level of expertise!

April was very professional and kind. I was very happy with my hair and make up services and both ended up exceeding my expectations. The actual price of hair was a bit more expensive than originally quoted, however, I was happy to pay it.

I was in a wedding this weekend and wow did they do an amazing job! They were the picture of professionalism. My hair and makeup stayed all through the night, and I was one of the first to get mine done at 8 am!

Zero professionalism at all. I truly do not appreciate the extra friction that this woman caused between the bride (my sister) and myself when it has already been a touchy relationship/situation.
I called to cancel an appointment I had booked because I was being forced by my mother and the bride. I gave her my name, appointment date/time, said I need to cancel, and said you can cancel my hair and makeup for the wedding, I can do my own hair/makeup. Her shocked response was a little over the top so I clarified it was just me, not everyone else since I didn't want to screw up the rest of hair makeup for the wedding party that I was not apart of. She then called the bride and told her I was horrifically rude to her. I have no words if you think I was rude.. like what? If you can't take a cancelation, perhaps you should not be in the service industry with appointments people can cancel. I waited until after the wedding was done to post this review because I didn't want to mess up the bride’s day since this woman clearly lacks professionalism.

Excellent services provided by April! She will take the time to figure out what you are looking for and what type of hair services are appropriate for you to maintain healthy hair- she is phenomenal! It was a great experience- I will be going back! She also took the time to provide some education. Please go and see her!

April did my wedding hair/makeup, and April/Megan did my bridal party's hair for the wedding, I loved my hair and makeup and all of my bridesmaids loved their hair!! It lasted all day and they were so kind and fun to work with! April is very sweet and was very detailed in her hair/makeup trial, you could tell she really wanted to ensure that I loved my look on the day of with all of the followup questions and work she put in! Would highly recommend!

April is a master of her craft. I visited from out of state for a wedding updo, and gave April creative reign. In turn she gave me hair I wish I could have everyday. It was beautiful, elegant, and held outside during a windy wedding and through all of the festivities. April's salon is comfortable and beautiful and we were all made to feel at home during our visit. Thank you April!

I have been debating writing a review because April had an incredible vibe, was so kind, and had great energy, but her services did not impress me. She states she has decades of experience in the field but her techniques and skills were not as was advertised. I was hesitant to do a bridal hair and makeup trial, due to limited photos available to view on her websites and the cost. I did not feel like myself at all with the makeup, and I’m used to wearing event makeup. The lashes were nowhere near the lash line, major creasing under my eyes (I told her in advance this tends to happen), colors unlike my inspo pics (will also include), odd eyeshadow shapes, poor blush placement, and my brows were unsymmetrical and not even fully filled in. The photo below is AFTER I asked for certain adjustments. My hair was nothing like my inspo pic and to put it bluntly, was just messy. I was very disappointed and had to pay over $200 for this trial.

April is so nice and so kind! I went in knowing nothing about hair or makeup but walked out with knew knowledge. Not only did she nail my modernized Victorian half up hairstyle, but she completely blew me away with my makeup transformation! I just went with a very natural makeup look with some emphasis on my eyes and cheekbones but I walked out of there feeling my most beautiful! She emailed me a list of the makeup she used on me and the Oder and how to use them! April has done more than make my wedding dreams come true, she has also given me the information necessary to better my beauty routine every day. Thank you April!

10/10 recommend this dream team. Choosing Final Touches to handle all of our wedding hair & makeup services was by far one of our best decisions!! April can provide any hairstyle you want and Shannon’s makeup skills are hands down the best I’ve ever seen. Very natural & enhancing! Both of them - just chef’s kiss! From our first interaction to the day-of, they were organized, accommodating, and professional… something every Bride needs. The bond they have with each other is so special and I think is the key to their success. We had 10 girls getting hair & makeup done and it went off without a hitch. I wish I had another event planned just so I can work them again. Thank you for everything :)
