Gate City Bank spends $250,000 on cookies annually. The same bank also sacked my credit for an $8 overcharge which I had reported stolen, in person, prior to the charge. Had I known what I experienced was illegal, I would have sued your company!!

I wanted to say Thank You, I was shopping at Hornbachers on 13th Ave this morning a young gal came up to me from Gate City Bank. They were doing acts of kindness and handed me a gift card for Hornbachers. So unexpected and it made my day!,??

I have gotten good help from this location. Gate City was recommended to me by a person who worked there, and I started my banking at the location on 25th Street. This location has been my primary since I moved several years ago. I usually use the drive-through and I've always gotten nice people there, but occasionally I need to go inside. Last year I had some formal documents done and I needed to know how to get one of them in the banking system. I got almost immediate help. While I was in the office, I asked the employee about some other things I was concerned about as a college student and about retirement accounts if I needed to move my current holdings if I couldn't work during my internship. Very helpful.

After reporting my card lost/stolen they issued me a new one immediately which I could not use because it was a reissue of the cancelled card thus I could not use it for transport, leaving me stranded numerous times. Calling their office is futile as they only offered excuses, no solutions. I've encountered much difficulty with this company before and their incompetency compromised my safety and security.

Lisa is so rude, worst gate city bank experience ever. I went into this Gate City Bank location to send a wire transfer. I walked to the counter where Emily was standing. I asked for her assistance with the wire transfer when Lisa very rudely interrupted and said come back Monday. I asked can I please send it today or at least put my request in. She said No, I asked why not, she said because we close in 10 minutes. I asked her isn't it her responsibility to assist the customers as long as they are in the branch before closing. She said it takes to long and she's not going to do it. Everything she said was with attitude. I can tell she was either unhappy with her job or ready to go home. I asked Emily can she do it. She basically ignored me and looked at Lisa for answers. I then asked to speak to a manager. Lisa said I pretty much am the manager. Lisa said just leave all the wire information and I will do it Monday. I felt so uncomfortable at that point I didn't want to leave my info with her. Lisa is really rude and unpleasant.
