About Snowshoe Inn
Snowshoe Inn is a very nice, cozy, and clean find in Fort Providence, situated on the banks of the Mackenzie River. The rooms are nice, very clean, and newly renovated, with very comfortable beds and a great interior. The staff is great, super friendly, welcoming, informative, and awesome. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, but opening the window is perfect, and a small tabletop fan is provided. You need to pay for internet, but it's a fair price and the connection is good; there is also cell coverage. The hotel is super quiet and offers a stunning view of the river from some rooms. It is a great choice for one or two nights when traveling, providing a calm roof over your head. There is a cafe and lounge right across the street with great food and service, as well as a gift shop. The whole town is friendly and welcoming, and you can walk around it quite easily. Nearby activities include walking, enjoying nature, and fishing right from the back yard, though be aware of bugs near the river. It is definitely a nice place for a cozy stay.
Great staff, friendly and informative. The room was nice. ( looks like they refreshed the bedrooms recently. However, there is NO ac. So ideally do not arrive during a heatwave and a fire smoke advisory.... they do provide 1 small table top fan per room.

Very clean rooms, super quiet, beds are very comfy. Definitely a great choice for one or two nights when travelling in NWT. You need to pay for internet, but it's a fair price and the connection is really good. Front desk staff super friendly and welcoming
