Stayed here for a night for work. old hotel out dated. Not for every one. But its cozy little cabin feel to it / simple life feel. If i had to spend a night here again or two i would.Pros: decent beds / bedding. Interesting decor. Decent tv and fridge. Quite location. Small but cozy rooms. Clean building & rooms. Helpful and friendly staff. Top floor and ground floor. Restaurant across the street and gift shop.Cons: no free wifi ( pay for wifi packages )

Stayed here for one night. Super friendly front desk staff. Reasonable rate for the area. Room seemed to be newly renovated and refurbished. Very comfortable bed. And really cool to be able to look out of my room window and be right next to the McKenzie!

Great place to stay in the small town of Fort Providence, The staff are very helpful and accommodating, The only thing is that the room in the summer don’t have air condition and you have to buy packages off Wi-Fi, but other than that everything else is fine…

During our travels in the NWT, we stayed twice at the Snowshoe Inn. It was one of the best hotels! The place is beautiful and the rooms are well decorated, spacious and clean. On our way back to Yellowknife, Jonny and a person working at the Snowshoe Inn noticed that we had a flat tire and went to look for us at the restaurant. They immediately helped us solve this problem. A big thank you for your help!We loved our stay at the Snowshoe Inn and definitely recommend it!

I want to start off by saying the rooms were nicely renovated and the housekeeping did a great job. My main issues were the absence of AC units in the rooms, especially during the hot humid summers and the wifi packages. These wifi packages are not cheap but since this was a business trip and we were stuck here for a bit we paid the fee. The wifi was consistently cutting out in our room and the speeds were nothing to brag about. Its annoying to pay a premium price and receive a less than premium product. I've stayed in different hotels using the same Internet provider and had 0 issues with the wifi and the wifi was free at those places. If these 2 issues changed in the future we'd leave a 5 star review.

The room and bed were very comfortable, with beautiful renovations. The only thing that was annoying was running the microwave at the same time as room next door which blew a breaker but we got it figured out. The breakfast at the cafe was quite good as well. The town bison were amazing.

We only stayed one night in this friendly inn but I would definitely stay here again. The décor is visually appealing with lots of historical photographs. We had supper in their café across the street where I had the best veggie burger for a very long time. My only regret is that the artwork in the glass cabinet near reception was not for sale. I was unable to visit the gallery, also across the road, as we arrived late on a Sunday and left early on the Monday.

It's a good stay although there was not much choice in Fort Providence. Manager and staff were helpful and cheerful.

Wonderful location right on the huge Mackenzie River. My room on the lower level was cool and very spacious and I had access to a well appointed kitchen. The bedroom had been updated and the updated amenities were very much appreciated. Kathy at the front desk was super friendly, helpful and accommodating. I stayed for a week and felt very welcomed every day. The Fort Providence area is a delightful place to be - with bison roaming in town, sandhill cranes along the river bank during my daily walks and friendly people. The associated Snowshoe Cafe across the road was a nice break from cooking in my room.

I stayed at the Snowshoe Inn for one week while I was working in Fort Providence. All the staff at the Inn were so helpful and kind! I really enjoyed the newly renovated rooms. The artwork was appeasing, the bedding was very nice and cozy, the armchairs were great to sit and relax in, and the USB charging sockets on the lap were so handy!I still can't get over how amazing the view was from my room! Watching the sunset each day was a treat, getting a glimpse of the dancing Northern Lights was spectacular and seeing a herd of bison casually walking up the street was something I thought I'd never get to see!I dined at the Snowshoe Inn Cafe each breakfast and lunch, there was a variety of food options to pick from! I enjoyed the breakfast the most as it fueled me up for each busy day!At the Snowshoe Inn Arts and Crafts shop I picked up a couple of handmade items to bring back home, including a little pair of baby moccasin boots for a friend, I wish I picked up a pair for myself!
