“Wonderful experience coming here. This is a small shop located on the lower level of the Y K Centre mall. This is the mall that is connected to the your independent grocer. I called prior to coming because I had a broken zipper on a very old jacket. The owner guaranteed to have it done by end of the day or the next day. They quoted me $45 which is a reasonable price for a zipper repair and I paid in advance. To my surprise, three hours later, Thuy called me and told me my zipper was fixed, and my jacket was ready. I went to pick it up and it was absolutely beautiful and perfectly done. I also had the pleasure of meeting the wonderful, kind and friendly seamstress, Thuy. She is so good at what she does, yellow knife really needs her services here. They also sell jewellery and a few other beautiful clothing items. They are Vietnamese and I spoke about my experience travelling to Vietnam. Vietnamese people are incredible people who have gone through so much yet are strong resilient not to mention kind and humble people. I strongly urge the people of Yellowknife to support this small business and bring your clothing here for hemming and altering. This is what community is all about, supporting our small businesses. And I value their honesty . Thank you so much Thuy for your wonderful work. You are incredible ☺️???”

“Very friendly and chatty owner. Everything in the shop is authentic and he can tell you stories about their provenance. You may occasionally encounter Indigenous peoples coming into the store trying to sell their products to the shop. The price is about the same as the gift shop at the airport, but there's just so much more products available at this store while airport gift shop is limited by the shop size. He has some fur products but his main specialty is carvings. Sometimes you're lucky to find muskox or polar bear carvings made by artists originally from further north (Inuvik or Tuktoyaktuk). I picked up a nice carving at a reasonable price and will go back for more.”
