“I was on a cruise to Halifax. The Art Museum is stop number 10 on the Hop on Hop Off Bus, and it's also about a 20-minute walk on the boardwalk back to the ship. The museum is undergoing construction. There are two sides connected by a lower level walkway. There are 2 floors of art on the north side and 2 floors on the south side. It took me about an hour to go through all 4 sections. I really enjoyed the work by the Dutch artist and the indigenous exhibition called Confluence. But the must-see, in my opinion, was the work of Maud Lewis. Her work is expressive. There is a replica of her home, and it looked like she painted everything in it. It is so beautiful and yet very natural. I didn't see any works from masters such as Van Gogh, Monet, Renoir, etc. And perhaps this wasn't that sort of museum. But I truly enjoyed my visit and would visit again to see Maud Lewis work.”

“I have trusted Phil and his staff to do a great job framing art. His Gallery is a joy to visit even if I am not in the market to purchase. He carries the best of our local artists.Military”

“Great visit this weekend to the Craig Gallery!
It is a small but beautiful space. Very kind staff. A demure but swaggy lady in blonde named Zoë was very patient and answered our questions about the artist and their pieces with lots of detail. Truly a highlight of my trip to Halifax!!”

“We came across this location and visited the Mary Gallery, while visiting the Pier 22 area. I was charmed by the artworks and designs made by the NSCAD students, as each shared a deep and meaningful story behind each artwork made by our future aspiring artists. It's very clean, minimalistic in design but did not take away from the show. It's free admission too, so why not drop by? You won't regret it!”
