King's Co-op Bookstore is a charming, gorgeous little basement bookstore and a hidden jewel of Halifax. It features a beautifully curated, incredible selection of books across all genres, with a particular strength in BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+ content. The lovely, knowledgeable, and helpful staff are literal angels who make ordering easy and can find the exact book you need. While it can be a little tricky to find downstairs, the journey is worth it for the impeccable vibes and the unique, unbelievable collection. It is far more than a campus store and is considered by many the best independent bookstore in the city.
