“I absolutely adore Trident. The vibes are so cozy and the drinks on offer are varried and delicious. The coffee and lattes are so easily customizable with a variety of syrups, and the teas on offer are all incredible. I personally adore the lavender tea and green tea with a little honey.The book selection is also amazing, with both used books and a small selection of new ones sourced from Kings Co-op.If you're looking for parking there's on street parking but there is also a free parking lot by the VIA station that's for the liquor store and the grocery store, but is a nice short walk (if you're able to) down past a little park.”

“The manager, Paul, was gracious to allow me to come into the Bookstore while it was closed due to covid. He was very friendly, helpful and hospitable. I bought some King's swag for my daughter, who is attending in the fall. He was very knowledgeable about when the online mandatory reading list would be posted and when the Bookstore would be receiving these books. Everyone I met that day was extremely nice and helped me find my way around the campus!!!”

“Popped into Strange Adventures while on vacation in Halifax and it was honestly a highlight of the trip! The proprietor was so kind and helpful. The shop was small but very well-stocked with comics old and new, graphic novels, figurines, board games, card games, and other diverse novelty and fan items.I was delighted to find two out of print Star Trek card game decks for a very reasonable price! I also left with an interesting book on female superheroes through history.Two stories of note about the proprietor: when my friend asked if they sold pens and he told her they didn’t he proceeded to go into the back and simply give her a Doctor Strange pen! And then as we were leaving an interesting book caught our eye, and he told us to take it for no charge! He said it wasn’t something people were usually looking for in his shop and just wanted it to go to a good home.I would definitely recommend Strange Adventures and if I ever find myself in Halifax again I will be returning!”
“This place actually has to be the absolute definition of a hidden gem. That term gets thrown around a lot, but this is it. Tucked away between car dealerships and print shops on the industrial outskirts of Halifax is the cutest little haven.Yummy drinks and baked goods, a large selection of books, and friendly staff are all here! If you find yourself in this area for any less desirable tasks or errands, make sure you pop in here to make your day a little better.”
