Rooms: The rooms were basic, clean and well maintained. The price was right!
Noteworthy details: The motel sits on a hill overlooking a wide vista. A large lawn with many comfortable chairs is a great spot to relax and enjoy the view.

I read a couple of the reviews after I had already booked and I was a little nervous. But after my stay I have no idea why someone would write such a bad review. The owners were so nice and very helpful. The room was very nice with a beautiful sunrise every morning. Definitely will be back.

The room was musty 🤧 and the bed was very hard. The area is nice . Just needs be updated because the location is great. The man that checked us in was very nice.

Had a one night stay and was very pleased. Yes the hotel is a bit older, but everything worked well, was very clean and rooms also had a microwave and mini fridge. Would definitely stay again. Lots of chairs out on the front lawn which was great to be able to sit out and enjoy.

We had a very bad experience here.
We stayed for one night. At the beginning we were given a room that when I entered I started coughing and choking because of an indescribable smell. I suspect there was mold behind the walls. After we asked for a new room, we were insinuated that we had used the bathroom. After repeated requests we were given a new room. The smell was better, unfortunately the unpleasant feeling of mold remained nearby.
According to the reviews here, there may be good rooms too. I cannot confirm this. When you enter the rooms look like they do in the pictures. If you look closely you can see that the floor is coming apart, there are insects in the bathroom, the furniture and beds are outdated and you get the feeling that the motel needs a major renovation. If you are a little taller than average, the beds are also too small.
In general I had the worst night of my life here. I would not recommend this accommodation to anyone, despite its proximity to the Tidal Bore.

The place is an absolute dump! The bedding smells, mold in the bathroom, bugs on the wall! The owners were ignorant and condescending. Booked for a week, left after the first night! The place should honestly be condemned.

We recently stayed at the Tidal Bore Inn in Truro for one night, and it was a fantastic experience. The inn is absolutely beautiful, offering a charming and serene atmosphere. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free, making our stay even more pleasant.
The rooms were cute and cozy, equipped with A/C to ensure comfort regardless of the weather. Every detail seemed thoughtfully considered to enhance the guest experience. I highly recommend the Tidal Bore Inn for anyone looking for a delightful stay in Truro.

I had a very bad experience.
I was booked to stay for 2 nights I'm a construction worker and my company had my spouse and I booked in this hotel for 2 nights.
On the first night my spouse and I were accosted by the manager who was drunk
We were forced to leave & we had to call our employer and explain that we had to leave due to their management staff being drunk and accosting us and disturbing our peace.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Bill and Lisa were absolutely lovely. The motel is older and they do maintain it well. It is a summer only motel that is owner run so do not expect a hotel that you pay 400 a night for. It has comfortable beds and is very clean. The view of the tidal bores is fantastic. I will define stay here again.
