Everything you should expect followed up with great service from both Bill and Lisa. They made my stay here truly a pleasant experience. All five weeks...

Had to search for someone to get our key for our reservation, took about 20 minutes. Room decent. Burned $11.50 a couple of days later on my card because of a "damaged" hand towel ? Didn't even use the shower as we were on the road around 5 am and didn't want to disturb anyone that early. Definitely didn't damage anything. Won't be back.

Our room had a wobbly toiletBeds were firm but okayNice view of the sunsetReally dated decor but cozy for the budget travellerHad a/c, microwave and fridge but advised us not to turn off a/c to use other appliances so we didn't blow a fuse.Truro is a nice little town

Rented a room here , well over priced for the area , paid more than I paid for a nicer and updated room and on top they charged us a deposit that they said would be returned to our card but not until 4 or 5 pm the day of check out , I've never had this issue before but I would never stay there again , I guess now I know why the place wasnt busy , not happy at all and still nothing returned so almost $400 for a room an hour away from Halifax ?

Room was very dated. An update is well over due. Very clean. My only negative would be the lack of renovations over the years causes some inconvenience but not a deal breaker. Unable to run air conditioning and any other applience at the same time....and with multiple people limited to a 15 min shower and having to wait 30 min for the next one.

Needs some love, but what a view! If you stay, bring your own coffee - only hotel/motel that I stayed at in more than 30 years that did not have coffee available (not in the room or at the office).Rooms: Spartan, but effective.Food & drinks: No coffee! Nowhere!!

I cannot begin to say enough good things about the Tidal Bore Inn! I was tasked with booking a place to stay for my workers while were were in the area helping out with the aftermath of the hurricane. Lisa was an absolute delight to deal with. She went out of her way to be accommodating to the needs of our workers. She was very understanding and just so refreshing to deal with. If your company needs to book somewhere to stay in the area I highly recommend you choose them. They will go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met!

The people that run this place DISGUST me. My boyfriend has been staying here for over a month. Always pays on time and has been quiet and respectful. Today they called and kicked him out with NO WARNING. They had the locks changed on him before he even got off work to get his stuff. Blaming him for noise when he’s at work all day. He’s barely ever there. Leaving him homeless all because they want to rent this dive motel for a concert coming to town. The rooms are disgusting and outdated. Not even well taken care of. Power went out for hours on end multiple times during his stay. The management is trashy and micromanage everyone that steps foot on the property.STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!

We chose to stay at the Tidal Bore Inn because we had an early flight out of Halifax Airport & all the (surprisingly few in number) hotels near YHZ were extremely expensive! Tidal Bore was perfectly adequate for a 1 night stay; nothing glamorous but clean, quiet, well located in the scenic countryside but only a few minutes from the highway entrance - & close to the tidal bore too, although we didn't get to see it as the tide was scheduled for 9 pm at which time it would have been dark. Leaving the hotel in the early morning, it took us 45 minutes to access the airport which was not too bad. It's not far from the hotel to drive into Truro for dinner etc. Some reviews have mentioned that the hosts. were rude, but they were fine with us. I would stay here again if I needed a place with easy & relatively inexpensive airport access.

It is like you walk back in time. Tube TV made us laugh but it was clean, and staff was really friendly. Very convenient and GEEZ. well worth $99/night. Will stay again if I need to.
