“Excellent really. I called in to ask for a visor (old one's spring went bust) for a 2008 year Honda Civic. He knew in his head what he had in stock, which it so happens he did. As a hands-on guy, asked me if I'd removed the visor and what screwdriver he'd need -- and I had removed the old visor a day before so I knew. 10 bucks, no need to ship a cardboard box with packing material across the country ! A quick soap and water cleanup and part is perfect.”

“I’d like to give a big “shout-out” to the kindness of the Shelburne Irving station.

As yearly “come from away” folks to Shelburne since 1999, we found a safe and soft place to land at the Shelburne Irving. Over the years we drive from the U.SA. to Canada to spend the summer in beautiful Shelburne. Unlike other years, our border crossing was made difficult by a detailed search of our truck and trailer. We waited over an hour while agents dug through all of our belongings. When they finished and we were cleared to enter Canada, we needed another 45 minutes to put things back together.

This set our arrival time back about two hours. When we finally reached Shelburne we didn’t want to risk entering our driveway in the dark for fear of a fallen tree over the winter. What to do? Driving into town we noticed the bright lights of the Irving station. We pulled in and I went inside to ask permission to park in their lot until daylight. The kind gentleman on duty welcomed us home and told us yes and where to park!

In the morning we went back inside the bright, clean store for coffee before departing. I’m sure everyone in town knows they make an excellent cup of coffee. Thank you Irving and staff for a warm welcome and a beacon of light on a very dark night!”

“I love the people at this Goulden Shell station, I first discovered them by a local fellow's recommendation when I had my car break down on the way to Cape Breton and they got me fixed up really quick so my trip wasn't ruined (it was kind of a complicated fix too but they just did it so smoothly!). They've always taken care of my oil changes and repairs since. I really appreciate their friendliness and caring and excellent service, they're not just good with cars, they're superheroes (superheroines, in the case of Dee), in spirit! Thanks you guys.”
