I went to the Apple Store to get an upgrade from my iPhone 13. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and directed to the table to my left. A gentleman in a green shirt introduced himself as Chad.Chad was extremely knowledgeable about the entire process of being able to finance the upgrade through the different carriers and he was able to answer all mine and my wife’s questions. He was super friendly and even brought out a tablet with an apple pen so that my daughter could be entertained while we moved along through the process. It was honestly one of the best if not the best phone buying experience I’ve ever had. I wish this guy made commissions but hopefully at least he and his superiors see this to know that he did an absolutely amazing job for us. I will recommend this store (and Chad) to my friends and family. Thanks for all your help Chad!

Edited: I received a call back from the store, apologizing for the below miscommunication, and offering a free MacBook accessory as compensation. It’s not 0% interest financing, but it’s appreciated and now worthy of 4 star review. Thank you for following through! They changed the deal on my MacBook after I had applied and accepted a new Apple Credit Card.I came in about an hour ago excited and eager to get a new Macbook. I specifically asked if they price matched to MicroCenter who was selling the same model for 10% less, and they said yes. I was pitched the Apple Credit Card and Applecare, and I decided to go for both of them, as it was explained to me that I can get 0% financing for 12 months with my purchase if approved. After I was approved and hit accept and had the Macbook in hand, I was told I can't do financing while also getting a price match: that I had to choose between 1 or the other. I felt trapped, as I had already accepted a new credit card, and from a credit hit perspective had already committed to the purchase. I asked to remove the Applecare from my purchase as a protest, and continued with the purchase on the new Apple Credit Card with the price match, though I am salty cause I truly wanted the Applecare along with the 12 month financing. What started as an exciting trip for my new laptop ended with disappointment. The salesperson I worked with was very nice, and it appears it was some other person who made the decision I can't finance while price matching (a supervisor maybe? idk, I never got to speak to them). He had a great pitch on both Applecare and the credit card, and in no way should be punished for this bad review (he alone is the only reason this is a 2 star review instead of 1).

Summit Mall is still a very nice mall but I could easily see it declining soon.

People think that Apple’s forced labor from Xinjiang, and continued political bias, is losing touch with Apple's customer base. Maybe it is?

While waiting for transfer of info from I pad the manager sent the associate who was helping me to help another customer. This left us sitting for over an hour, she never said anything to us for our inconvenience! I am writing this as I sit at the store still waiting and fuming! terrible customer service!

Seems like a great Apple Store located in Summit Mall around the corner from Dillards. It is a large, bright and spacious store with plenty of places to sit down and look at computers and other electronics and confer with Associates. The store is sparkling clean and extremely organized too.

My uncle has been having problems with his phone for almost a year. My aunt has tried handling it. To know avail, I can barely get more than 7 words via a phone conversation with him. Not to mention, this phone is barely 2 years old. My uncle went in to this store last week. The woman with thick glasses was rude from the start. She said it wasn't the phone that it was their T Mobile service. Knowing it wasn't he still obliged her and went to T Mobile. They reset the service, cleared EVERYTHING. Phone still doesn't work. The lady at T Mobile said it's not their service it was 100% the phone. He went back to the Apple store and told this woman. She still refused to admit it was the phone. She told my uncle he had to buy another one. Long story short, he called Apple Service, after that gentleman couldn't have a conversation with my uncle because he couldn't hear him, he is sending him a new phone. It came today. My aunt has been in the store at least 7 times within the past 9-12 months. They are were familiar with her. No one has ever helped the issue. The in-person customer service was no help.

I have been having problems with my AirPod pro during my travel to Akron so I went to the Summit Mall Akron store. I set up an appointment prior to getting there. I stood at the store for 10 minutes before anyone spoke to me. Then I was taken to a table to sit and wait. After about 30 minutes a guy came and took me to another table with a tech already helping another customer. The tech was visibly tire and was not eager to help. Without diagnostics he was trying to sell me new ones. I love AirPod pros but to ‘save me money’ he was pushing AirPod 3rd gen. The techs at Apple Store make the assumption that all customers who walk in know nothing about Apple products. Dear Apple Store tech, if I was AirPod pro please don’t try to sell me AirPods which is an inferior product. I got mine from Amazon so his statement was Amazon stores old products and they are obsolete. He also stated that AppleCare is only available thru Apple stores. What an idiot. I wish Apple Store employees were trained to deal with people differently based on what the customers want and their skill level. 10 years ago I walked into another Apple Store to buy an iPad - I knew what I wanted so just wanted to buy it. No - I had to wait for a tech to explain to me what I want before they can sell it.
