“Big Lots is an interesting place to shop. Not a bad place to start if you need something specific, just to see if they have it, as the prices are usually a bargain. I can usually find a few organic staples after a little stroll through the food department and a household goods search usually leads to a few great items for my kitchen. The aisles aren't too difficult to maneuver for my husband's travel wheelchair, which is nice, because he loves perusing the aisles for things we might need as well. All in all, Big Lots is a great place to search for bargains.”
“When I can find what I want there, it's a great place, except the prices are really not that competitive. Their inventory feels a little random obviously because it's a closeout store but that kind of makes it really hard to shop for things that you want and again the prices can be a little bit not what I would consider closeout prices considering there is a Marc's store right next door to them that basically does close out stuff as well at lower prices, and there's a Dollar Tree in the same plaza with really low prices.”

“The owner (and his staff) are very responsive on their fb messenger! I've also had the owner help me load purchases into my vehicle! You can tell this is a guy who is very involved and cares about not only his business but also the customers experience! I have and will continue to recommend this store! Something about shopping here feels more like your dealing with family or friends opposed to corporate America, plus they do that hard part (assembling items) for you!”

“I love this store. So happy that it's gone back to Save-A-Lot and is no longer that value food market or whatever it was. This location has the best employees and I mean THE BEST. Every single one of them are kind and show up to do their job. They've worked hard to get the store back to what it used to be and I couldn't be happier. “The staff is awesome. It's always well stocked. But they should hire more people. The cashier has to ring up orders, stock shelves, and clean up. 3 jobs, one paycheck. It's not really fair for the pay.”
“I went to this store to return a private brand item that I had purchased at a different DG 20 miles away. The item had not been used and I had the receipt. I was told I would have to take the product to the store where I purchased the item. Considering that DG is not a franchise but is in fact a corporation, I called their corporate Customer Service line where they briefly researched the policy and then stated "Dollar General brand items must be returned to the store where purchased. However, private name brand items can be returned to any DG store in the US for full refund.'
This was one of two DG in my neighborhood that gave me the same runaround. Both stores had very friendly staff that wanted to help me but felt their hands were tied. Dollar General...Train your staff!!!”
“This store is like my 2nd Wal-Mart. ALWAYS find good deals and prices are equal or better than the dollar store.

“Save-A-Lot is a decent lower cost than average larger supermarkets. They have many low priced and save a lot branded items you can get basically all your friends and vegetables and snack foods alone with milk and soda and freezer foods, and also meat's but I prefer meat's at a higher quality store. Most basic necessities can be found here though”
“Definetly one of my favorite grocery stores, I visit sometimes 3-4 days a week. The waiting does not bother me because I live minutes away. And the cashiers are always nice.”

“In the last few months this store has made so many improvements. The new Manager is very nice. You are greeted when you walked in. The cashier always has a warm smile. I overheard the new Manager chatting with a customer stating how she is working so hard to get the store together for the community.”
“My personal review varies depending on location. 5 stars definitely goes to the locations of Cleveland Avenue in Uniontown, Ohio (closest one to 619/turkey foot rd.), also the one on route 43 in/near Randolph Ohio (close to the route 43/I-224 intersection), and lastly both locations on Cleveland massillon rd. In Norton, Ohio. However, S. Main st location in akron, Ohio could definitely improve primarily on organization in regards to stocking placement. Aside from that being said keep up the great work employees!”

“While the standard for orderliness and cleanliness in dollar stores has been extremely low, it was a delight to walk around the aisles to shop at Family Dollar on Main Street today! I couldn't find a thing out of place, the aisles weren't blocked with stock that needed to be put on shelves, all the prices were clearly marked, and the customer service I received was of the highest quality.I shopped there today, Saturday, Nov 11th at approximately 2:30 p.m. I hope whoever manages that store receives recognition as well as the employees who are working so hard there. You all deserve a big fat raise????”
“This is a great Marcs. They always surprise me with their selection. My only complaint is that all of the locations look so dim and extremely outdated. I AM, however, thrilled that this location has price checkers now.”
“They are very good at communicating and saving my mother the most money wich is awesome being she is on a fixed income and they offer delivery wich is great because she doesn't drive. They are a great place to save!!!!”
“I mean it's a dollar general so there's not too much to say, but it's far better than any other dollar general I've been to. It's not super small, it's pretty clean, the staff is pretty friendly and it's easy to locate most items.”

“I had a few minutes before my bus was to come and needed a few things so I ran in thinking it would be quick. Everyone in the store decided to check out just before me. It took a few minutes to get through the line. Customers don't realize that when we take our time to dig through a purse or check 20 pockets for their wallet, we can really goof up the customers behind us and what they have going on. I ran out to get my bus and I was not quite at the stop and even though I was waving my flashlight at the bus driver, he passed me and kept going. That was the last bus out of Kenmore to Barberton. I walked 6.2 miles to get back to my apartment. Oops!”
“The store rep's are well versed in knowing where items are to assist you in finding items you need. Most of all they're focussed on giving you the service that'll spark your desire to return.”
