The Nature Center has large windows to view the surroundings, and staff are friendly and helpful, especially for families with children. There are indoor and outdoor activities that keep kids occupied, and a covered picnic shelter is available for snacks or lunch. Wildlife sightings, like a beaver crossing the path, add excitement to the visits. The realm is also part of a tradition for many, with visitors completing the Fall Hiking Spree and collecting shields.
