Nice area for what it is but calling it a park is a stretch. There are some must see murals in this area though. Might be a nice spot to rest from a bike ride or a place to hang out away from traffic but if you expect a real park in downtown Akron you'll be disappointed.

Right near the Akron Civic Center, right in the heart of Akron. Great place to visit. At night changing colored lights on the lock. Close by or up on the rock stairs

Great little park area. Easy to access, can grab a table and relax by the water. Love the public art. Part of the DORA for downtown so you can get a drink at a local bar and bring it down.

This place is a hidden gem in Akron and honestly the center piece of the city. It's got a connecting trail nearby, places to sit by and take in all the beauty. You get to be treated with the river flowing as well as numerous (outdoor) activities are happening nearby. Beautiful public art. I would love to come back here in particular.

I like this place very much. Great seating for various views of the running waterfall with sequential lights that change so often to give the waterfall a nice looks all day long,! Lock 3 has the concerts during spring and summer. During the Christmas and Winter holiday season there are

Fascinating park in downtown Akron.Muralists El Mac (Miles MacGregor) and Aiseborn, both of Los Angeles, began work on the Civic’s exterior wall facing West Bowery Street overlooking Lock 4 in September.

Quite a nice hidden gem in the heart of Akron.. Clean, well lit, open all night, within walking distance of many downtown places of interest.. bars, Civic Theater, parks, walkways and even a putt-putt golf course! Skooter rentals are available for a few dollars making the whole area accessable in just a few minutes from one side to the other..
