This is my go to spot for running and biking. It's beautiful all times of year, close by and never crowded.
Toilets: Clean restrooms and water fountains are clutch for long runs and for the dogs.
Dog-friendliness: Right next to the dog park.
Picnic area: Has a small picnic area with a couple tables.

I’ve rode pretty much the entire towpath trail, and this trailhead is one of the nicest. Plenty of parking, nice restrooms and close trail access.

Beautiful wide trail to go bike riding, or walking.
Dog-friendliness: Plenty of dogs were on the trail and their owners keep them on short leashes. Everyone is very respectful.

There's a new memorial in place here which honors the three people who died rescuing others decades ago. When a water main let tons and tons of water loose from the top of the hill, many people and cars were trapped or swept away into the river. Several people jumped into the raging waters to rescue others, and three people lost their lives. There is now a granite memorial with their faces carved into the side with their names. It's very moving to read the story and understand why Memorial Parkway is named as it is.
