Central Bark Broadview Heights
3001 Towpath Rd, Broadview HeightsOur two boxers, Dani and Cooper, go to Central Bark in Broadview Heights once a week for enrichment day care. They absolutely love it. Every Wednesday morning, they know it is Central Bark day and wait by the door ready to leave. We have always joked that the team there treats Dani and Cooper better than we do.
A few weeks ago, we boarded them, and Central Bark showed us just how much they truly care. On a Saturday evening around 6:00 p.m., Emilie called to let us know that Dani was having serious GI issues and that they were concerned. She first asked if our emergency contact could come pick Dani up, but he was with us. A little later, Emilie called back and said Jennifer, the owner, was willing to come pick Dani up herself and take her to the MedVet ER clinic.
Long story short, Emilie and Jennifer identified and managed what could have become a life-ending situation. Jennifer stayed with Dani well into the early morning hours to make sure she was cared for and Emilie took care of her until we were able to get home on Sunday.
We are writing this review to say thank you, but also to let others know that Central Bark went far above and beyond. They did the right things, for the right reasons, when it mattered most.
Thank you to Emilie, Jennifer, and the entire Central Bark team.

Pet-Friendly Restaurants

Tropical Bay
8130 Broadview Rd, Broadview HeightsUpdate: June 2: This is my all time favorite place, I said it once and I will say it again. The food is so tasty that I crave it. In addition I am just so thankful for Dayana one of the owners (along with husband). She loves her customers and is always making sure that everyone is satisfied with their food. I love what they have done to give the place a little part of the Caribbean. It’s clean and inviting.
Update: March 2026; Just wrote a review of Tropical Bay at Market 42 in Brunswick. That is the place where the husband usually is. The husband and wife duo are incredible. I've grown close to the entire team, the mom, the friend Jackie who's a cook there as well. They treat you like you are going to visit a family member.
The ambiance is incredible, they put in a lot of hard work and did many updates in the bar area.
I’ve visited this establishment with my sister, daughter and family. They raved about the food. I visited again with my mother-in-law, tough customer and she enjoyed it.
Please visit and tell them Cee Cee said they should try the place.
Past review:
This place is a diamond in the rough with character and humanity.
Let me explain: The first time we visited (3 people) we were all so pleased with the food. We loved the atmosphere and the great feeling we felt when we visited.
Second time we visited: Everyone eats things differently. I ordered fried pork with tostones (fried green plantain). They serve it with mayo-ketchup which is great, but not for me (allergies). So I asked the server can you get me a mix of olive oil with garlic. She came back with some other mixture. Anyway I spoke to the owner and explained why I ordered what I ordered. I'll leave it at that.
Third time I asked the owner to come and talk to me. I told her that we LOVE the food and this place and want to make it our favorite, and I made sure she was again aware of my allergies, not that I was being difficult. Let's say that Diane/Diana is such a wonderful caring person and has a passion for her business and customers. That is why we gave them another opportunity. She is human, they're a small business trying to balance the world.
Definitely a place to visit for AMAZING FOOD! Great prices too!
She is always looking for good people to hire!!

Broadview Brewing Company
4001-A Towpath Rd, Broadview HeightsVery friendly staff. Nice indoor space and large outdoor space in the back. The beer selection was nice as they had many different types of beers. They also have three different slushies. I got the blackberry bourbon smash slushie and it was extremely delicious. Would highly recommend this place, especially as the nicer weather hits for the summer!

First Watch
4516 E Royalton Rd, Broadview HeightsI had the steak and eggs hash in their seasonal menu and it was one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. It should become part of the regular menu! The service was fast despite it being very busy and it was an overall enjoyable experience.
Edit: Their carry out is not the greatest - I have ordered twice and both times they forgot the salad. It seems they are understaffed, and even on a weekday morning, they can’t remember it.
