“If you are reading this review it is likely you aren't local. Welcome to this humble midwestern college hamlet, a besieged oasis of weirdness that exists out of place. In much the same way, this Dollar General's golden florescent aura stands alone as the one and only place to buy batteries, tampons, retro video game emulators, garden hose coupling adapters, ibuprofen, other stuff, etc. within several miles in any direction. As such, the locals have largely abandoned any Ill will normally directed at similar manifestations of capitalism's futility, choosing instead to bask in the glory of a shopping experience taking place in a building smaller than an aircraft hanger or indeed any shopping at all if it is past like 7 or 8 pm. For a bonus wholesome surprise I recommend listening carefully while checking out. You can sometimes hear the eerie sounds of a manager singing along quietly to whatever 70's rock anthem is on the radio in a way that makes you wonder if you are not in fact interacting with the very same person that must have recorded those vocal tracks so long ago.”
“I found what I went to buy eventually after I dodged all the stuff in the aisles that needed put away. It isn't the employees fault who you see workings fault. The company only puts one person working at all times. So you have to stock shelves run register and so on.”
“Handicap parking and easy to get in and out the store. The employees are friendly and willing to help you get things off the shelves if your not able. The prices are fair priced and have almost everything you need. A lot easier than going to Wal-Mart for simple things.”

“Well, I had originally gave 1 star because I was really upset over a prepaid Visa I had got there. I just went in with the thinking they weren't able to do anything... thought was going to hear "it's a visa problem 'After speaking to the manager about the situation, she made it right within mins.I had called corporate (and got absolutely nowhere due to them hanging up on me 5 time's) so thank you so much for making this particular situation right right before Christmas.”
