Avis Car Rental

Car Rental
Hours: Avis Car Rental in Centerville is a location with mixed feedback from customers. Many long-term clients report excellent and accommodating service, with staff recognizing them personally and expediting their rentals efficiently, even when accommodating schedule changes or customer mistakes. These positive experiences highlight friendly, helpful teams that make customers feel well-cared-for, leading some to drive significant distances specifically to use this branch. However, experiences can vary. Some customers report inconsistent customer service, describing interactions as very transactional without a greeting. Significant concerns are raised about vehicle maintenance and condition. Multiple reviews mention receiving cars with unrecorded body damage, bald tires, low tire pressure warning lights, and inoperable features like cruise control. One customer also found a previous renter's belongings left in plain sight. The process of resolving issues at return, such as reporting malfunctions, sometimes appears poorly handled. Systemic and partnership issues are noted. Problems with third-party booking integrations, like Priceline, can lead to reservations for vehicles that are not available, though counter staff are praised for resolving these situations well. Broader corporate support is criticized as lacking, with reports of multiple call transfers and difficulties with unexpected charges. A specific warning is given about complications when switching vehicles booked for Uber use. While the local team is often described as friendly, the overall operation can seem loosely managed, with vehicle upkeep and corporate systems being a recurring point of contention.
