Every year I cancel my mail for vacation. Every year it is delivered for one or two days past my departure and the anywhere from a couple days to a week before I return home regardless of the dates on my mail hold form. I do not hold it over the required 30 days. I notify them early. The Chardon Post office does a terrible job handling vacation holds. I don’t know who is responsible So this reflects the entire staff, and that is a shame.

Usually I have good experience with this staff/office, but you guys need to check your trucks. You left a giant oil/gas slick down the north side of bradford road (it gets larger by each mailbox). Please check your trucks so you stop polluting our water. I tried to call the office but not anywhere to even leave a voicemail or message

Our mail delivery person and staff at the post office were very helpful solving a mail forwarding issue and worked out a plan to best serve us.

Great service from the gentleman named Dane at this location. I can’t speak on what was going on prior but I’ve never had an issue here and I’ve been to several other USPS locations around the country.

The taller old woman here is extremely rude. We’ve had issues with her every time we need to go in for something. She doesn’t even let you finish a sentence. Was being helped by someone else and she stopped helping the customer at her counter just to make snotty comments in response to the question I went in to ask. You’d think with how many bad reviews they’ve gotten about her alone that something would be done.
Addition to my last review: They also keep losing a ton of my mail. Half of my Save the Date's were lost and never delivered, and quite a few of my bridal shower invitations were lost and never delivered. I'm going to have to start going to another post office because this is just ridiculous. Worst post office I have EVER used.
To add to my prior reviews: they now refuse to deliver packages. They put signs up saying there was vandalism to the parcel lockers and that they are now holding all packages at the post office. I can’t constantly go to the post office to get my packages that should be being delivered to me to begin with. Absolutely ridiculous!

I really hate making negative reviews but I am after SEVERAL polite phone calls about the way my packages are folded and shoved in my mailbox, ruining the contents inside. I’ve called numerous times, each time calm/politely asking to be deliver packages to our porch that cannot fit in our mailbox. We use to have a girl on our route and she’s FANTASTIC. I don’t know who has been coming lately, but sometimes I feel that it’s now being done intentionally. I understand you are busy and I appreciate your service more than you know but several calls and STILL receiving packages that are bent/ruined. Please be more considerate.

This post office has the slowest mail delivery known to mankind, both incoming and outgoing. That is, if it even gets delivered! Doesn’t anybody care about good work ethic anymore???

Post master doesn't care at all if your mail gets delivered. Chardon post office is the worst. All my mail is lost!

The postmaster here is a crotchety crone. Best of luck to you if you catch her after 4:00PM when it's close to quitting time and she wants to go home and watch Wheel of Fortune.I previously owned a PO box here. A company mistakenly sent me a letter to the PO box. I went to the post office to inquire about the PO box. I told her the situation, showed her my ID, and simply asked her if she could verify if the PO box was mine. She refused, told me since the Post Office is a federal building she cannot give out any information on any PO box.I was not asking her to tell me WHO owned the PO box. I was simply asking her IF I WAS THE ONE WHO OWNED IT, BECAUSE I HAD OWNED IT IN THE PAST.When I asked her if I could set up a forwarding address to have the mail re-rerouted to my house, she refused and said "Nope, we will do a return to sender." I asked why, and she then accused me of trying to use someone else's PO box for my mail.If you can at all help it, avoid this post office.

There's no machine available when the office is closed for postage. I can understand not having a person on the weekends but I just have to get postage for my absentee ballot.

Our mail carrier is the best! Goes above and beyond to deliver our mail. In the event I have a problem or question about a deli, the staff at the post office are kind and helpful. Have even called me back after investigating a missing package.

I know that the other reviews for the post office on Yelp are 3 or 4 years old and I agreed with them at the time. The post office was not in good shape, slow and inefficient. As of late, however, I feel totally different. Whenever I go in, there is no line at the window or, if there is, they are quick to bring out more staff and open more lanes. The personnel are efficient, knowledgeable and personable. I've sent a lot of boxes across the country lately and all have been delivered in good shape and relatively timely. They had some dark days at the beginning of COVID but they seem to have gotten considerably better as of late.
