I have a business in Chillicothe. Had internet through Horizon for years now. We discovered they charged us the same amount for services, and had cut back our speed and out Hotspot for customers wasn't working. Finally they told us that we would have to sign a new contract as a business and they would fix the problem...in other words if you want us to fix it, let us extort more money from you. Looking to move our services to either Verizon or Spectrum shortly.

Internet service is great.However. The tech that installed our internet made a small mess that he didn’t bother to clean up. Even that is not a big deal. The main reason for my review is that I still have a cable running through my back yard that for some reason they cannot manage to get someone to come out to bury. My internet was installed 36 days ago. This is ridiculous.

Currently paying $93 a month for 50mb download and 10mb upload speeds. It’s $70+ for 50mb download and 2mb upload. 2mb?! That’s atrocious and basically unusable with technology these days, so we have to pay extra to get 10mb upload. Mind you, we never actually get the speeds we pay for.Their website has 500mb upload and download fiber, which is not in our area yet, for $65.95 and that’s after the new customer promo ends. They know there aren’t options other than satellite, so they just keep jacking up the prices for current customers. When we called about the price and to ask why much higher speeds are cheaper than what we’re getting they reluctantly gave us $10 off for a year. When my husband tried to ask about getting notified when fiber would be in our area she hung up.

Recently experienced a cable and Wi-Fi outage. Called Horizon and was informed a technician would be in contact. He arrived promptly and was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Problem was resolved in a timely fashion.

If I could give a negative rating for Horizon I definitely would. This service is for folks who don’t use internet! It’s the worst service and the people you talk to on the phone are so clueless understanding the internet issues.

My experience with Horizon optical network for the past 16 months has been very satisfactory. I've long wanted a different service from Spectrum and their antiquated cable lines and am extremely pleased to be with Horizon.

Terrible price to speed ratio, and I couldn't find a plan with an upload speed I require. The only reason I'm using Horizon is because there are no other providers in my area. Other than those complaints, the (awful) speeds have seemingly been consistent.Update (7/17/23): Their website states that their fiber internet has expanded to all of Ross County which is factually incorrect. I live in said county and have been waiting for years to upgrade, but to no avail. It always says "coming soon." Lowered to 2 stars.

Horizons lucky they’re the only internet provider I can get where I live. Internet is embarrassing slow and I have the best available. Zero help from anyone we’ve came In contact with for 17 years of having them

So far so good. Installer was very professional and as of now I am getting both the upload and download speeds close to what was promised. Best of all no buffering! For those who feel this service is poor, you clearly haven’t tried Spectrum.

I like this place neighbor with you on your bill they try to make sure you stay connected to the covid and the pandemic they would not shut you off I mean it's a really good company to get your cable an Internet flu or good people
