While there was a mix up with the online scheduling, Lisa & Maya worked with me to set up a different time to get the installation completed. Maya and Harry got the job done quickly and were extremely accommodating and easy to work with!

Our family has used a few different U-Haul locations but Gilbert Ave has been our best experience yet. Lisa was responsive, helpful and friendly. She helped figure out exactly which hitch was needed for our vehicle, ordered it, let us know when it came in, and got it installed in a very timely manner. We would do business here again and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good U-Haul in this area.

This Gilbert Ave. U-Haul location is great! We use this location to install hitches for veterans that we will be installing vehicle lifts for. Lisa (the GM) is absolutely AMAZING ! She is so accommodating to our veterans and goes out of her way to work around their schedule to get their hitches installed very quickly. She went and picked a hitch up from another location so she could install it for a veteran that was going out of town and needed it to be able to make his trip. Lisa is compassionate, caring, and always follows up when she says she will. We get very positive feedback from the customers we send there (which is a huge reason I always feel very confident referring my customers to the Gilbert Ave. location). I HIGHLY recommend this U-Haul and am very grateful for the wonderful service we and our veterans / customers receive there!

NEVER do business with this location. If you are a UC student trying to move, they will take advantage of you. Kathleen Klosterman is a terrible manager and does anything for money. They will lie and file false damage reports if you don’t purchase the moving insurance. Again, they will take advantage of those who they deem vulnerable. They charged me $500 for what was described as “<2 inch scratch on passenger side door.” LESS THAN A 2 INCH SCRATCH…$500!!!!! I didn’t even rent the truck from this location, I simply returned it there. They had no way of knowing whether the scratch was already there or not, so of course they slapped the damage charge on without any inquiry. I hardly drove the truck and I know for a fact I didn’t do any damage to the vehicle. You have been warned. Do NOT go here, Kathleen Klosterman is a scum bag

Great experience with renting a cargo trailer. The staff was nice. Explained everything down to the T. The price was fair and way better than those overpriced PODS where they nickel and dime you into the poor house. The trailer did just fine for our 800-mile journey, and checkout was very easy.

The owner is rude told me over the phone why would I need to rent a small truck for 3 days in a smart remark as if I’m not a paying customer after employee told me to call the next morning from him not being able to use the register and accept cash to extend for another day when I physically went up to the store and no one was around but him, no space to park, management don’t leave cash registers accessible to normal employees, and they steal money and scam I can’t make this up check the cameras from the time I was there I will not be doing business with that company store again! Tried to charge my card 31.26 but I told I was paying cash then tried to make my total 38.75 and when I asked for a receipt after he gave me 1.25 back he gave my money back saying give me the 1.25 back and that I can’t get a receipt and I asked how you get the 1.25 if you can’t get in the register and he said “he had to break in to it cause the managers was going to get more trucks at a different location” and I have all these dates time stamped and I reported the store and owner and employees cause one thing I’m not going to do is get played especially spending my money.

This facility was so freaking well run. Every member of the team was efficient, helpful, and polite. Workers openly offered assistance to one another when they saw it was busy (and it really was, yet they kept it rolling quickly). Great communication and teamwork. Friendly and kind with customers - even with some customers being difficult. I had something of an issue/misunderstanding and they said it would be taken care of while moving to the next bit of business. I wondered if I would be remembered or immediately forgotten - but it was cleared up and emailed to me. You could see the organization of the inspection/maintenance crew outside as they checked drop-offs and prepped pickups. This was a coordinated team of professionals each playing their role.Look, I've been in similar industries. I know there's gotta be some weaker members on board. Either still learning things, or just not able to put out as much work. Or maybe deliberately slacking off. That's alright, everybody is at different place in life. But it can bring down or frustrate people that are working hard. I know this has gotta be the case here, too. But that's what makes it that much more impressive that all the team members I witnessed took initiative and stayed professional to get things done well.I've moved quite a few times. Never have I seen such a clean and efficient u-haul store. And never with friendly attitudes that made me feel the slightest bit welcome. I absolutely hate moving. But this was as pleasant as it could be thanks to this rental location.

Truck was ready and clean. Staff got me through quick. Duwan helped me return it, I had over filled the gas and he made sure I got credit for the extra I gave it back with. Go here over a neighborhood dealer. Plus they are open later than 5, big plus.

Had a truck available when I needed it. Needed to haul a couch to my home. Used the truck about an hour and a half cost about 85 bucks. Staff was friendly, truck was in good shape. Was in and out in about 15 minutes.
