Horrible workers. They are so rude every time they speak to me. They have been holding our whole apartment complexes mail due to us not having our names in our mailboxes. So we put our name in, and they still returned our mail to sender. I’m talking about it being hundreds of people’s mail this one mailman was holding across multiple complexes. So bad the owner of them had to go to the post office and speak to them about it. When I tried to complain and talk to them, they said it’s just policy and to talk to my landlord. However, the issue is them returning it after I did what they asked. I have very important documents I am expecting and they said they might come to me, they might not. So now I have to hunt and make sure I get them because they are very serious things that I need, not including all the other residents that said they were missing their licenses, plates, paycheck, bills, etc. because one person decided to hold it all and return it after it had never been an issue before.

The woman on the phone was very helpful and got my package back on track to be delivered to me! (It was going here instead of South Dakota 😂)

If you have letters to mail you can drop them
off, but if you need to buy stamps OR mail a package you need to go to a different location.
The person working was nice in explaining this so that’s why it gets 3 stars

This is the Madisonville post office. The older black lady at the counter was rude. I was asking about a tracking number on the website to send a package back and she didn’t listen to me of what I was asking. She was aggressive with her words being argumentative and dismissive in her demeanor. I came in and dealt with her before and she showed that she didn’t really want to help me. She always directs me to another post office.

Update July 10, 2025
The supervisor reached out to me today and she was very sweet and kind to discuss the issue that I faced and she said that she would look into the matter and make sure nobody faces this problem again. Its good to know my feedback was taken into account.
July 2nd 2025:
If I could give zero stars, I would. I had been expecting an important and highly sensitive piece of mail—my Social Security Number—from the Social Security Administration. I was told it would arrive within two weeks. When it didn’t, I contacted the SSA, and they confirmed it had already been issued and sent. At that point, I was told that the Murray Road Post Office handles mail delivery for my area. Unfortunately, my address is not eligible for Informed delivery.
I visited this post office three times over three consecutive days. Each time, I was simply told, “No mail has arrived for your address in the past two weeks,” and no further effort was made to check or investigate. This lack of concern was frustrating, especially considering the nature of the mail in question.
On my second visit, an employee suggested that I come early the next morning—before 9:30 AM—since that’s when the carriers are dispatched. I was told that if there happened to be mail for me, they could hand it over directly.
The next morning, before making the trip, I called to confirm. The person who answered the phone initially said, “We can’t tell you. If there’s mail, it will be delivered.” After requesting repeatedly, he finally agreed to check and confirmed that there was mail for me that day. I asked if they could hold it for me, as I live nearby and could get there within 5–10 minutes. Though he initially refused, he eventually agreed to hold it for 30 minutes. However, when I arrived shortly afterward, the woman at the reception told me, “We’re not allowed to do that,” and refused to give me the mail. Since the person on the phone never gave a name, I had no way to explain or clarify what had been agreed upon.
Left with no other option, and planning to return to the SSA the next morning, I decided to take one last look around the other mailbox units in my apartment complex. To my disbelief, I found my Social Security mail sitting in a mailbox that did not belong to me. It had clearly been misdelivered. The postmark showed that it had been sent over a week prior—meaning it likely arrived on time, despite the post office repeatedly insisting no mail had come through.
This experience was incredibly frustrating and deeply concerning. Not only was there a clear mishandling of sensitive government mail, but the communication, accountability, and willingness to help were entirely lacking. This is not just poor service—it’s a serious breach of responsibility.

ONE YEAR SAGA TO REPLACE CONDO MAILBOX KEY
Willfully incompetent. They lie about their names but I spoke with Kim, Patrick (multiple times), Jen, Stephanie (an inspector who didn’t work at that branch), a mean clerk who answers their phone (multiple times), Will & Dan who claimed to be a supervisor and couldn’t comprehend why I might be annoyed 🤯
It’s been A YEAR Dan. I thought delivering mail was important to the USPS mission
So here’s the whole saga …
I’ve been trying to get a replacement key to my condo mailbox FOR OVER ONE YEAR
I first asked my postal carrier. He was super nice but didn’t know the answer and would see what he could find out. His manager thought I needed to reach out to our property manager, Towne Properties
Towne Properties was contacted & they confirmed it was through the USPS who had a maintenance locksmith
Back at USPS … Countless hours on hold. No one knows. Catch 22 - USPS says it’s Towne & Towne says it’s USPS
Finally in April USPS Kim says to pay $30 & go to local branch
By now I’ve forgotten what daily mail delivery is even like and I procrastinated
Went to Hyde Park Square branch - she was super nice but didn’t know anything about the process & said she would leave a note for her manager - May 7, 2025 $30 was deducted from my PNC account
By May 19, I checked in. Circled around. Turns out paperwork was lost in Jen’s mailbox while gone for 2 weeks
Ticket 1928121 submitted May 20 … it’s June 3 & it’s PENDING
And still PENDING

Lady was super nice but they don’t sell stamps or offer other traditional services - FYI so you don’t waste your time too.

They will blatantly lie to you over the phone to act like they are helping just to get rid of you. Waste of time and energy trying to deal with them. My packages got thrown in the trash

A lowlife who works here stole the contents of my package. Ripped open. I would put 0 if I could. It was not a neighbor, as USPS and myself only have a key to my box. So pathetic and sad.

After sitting at the post office for 15 minutes this morning, the lady comes out and says that the window doesn’t open until 930. I’m not telling her that when you call it it tells you that it opens at 8:30. She let me know though she’s the one at the window and it doesn’t open till 930. What a total waste.

Kimberly went aboveeeee and beyond to help me locate a package that had been returned to their location, over the phone, like twenty minutes before close. Any time I’ve had to go to this location in person the staff there has been super friendly and helpful. Thanks y’all!!

Everytime I call, no one picks up the phone. When I do get ahold of someone, half the time they hang up on me. I've been waiting 3 weeks for my mail to get delivered and everytime I call they can't figure out why it's not getting delivered. For some reason they can't talk to the mail carrier about that.

Extremely rude and unprofessional behavior from the female clerk at the front desk. From walking in I couldn’t have been more of an annoyance and inconvenience to the women working the front desk. I was picking up my package and she made it clear she couldn’t/didn’t want to help me. She told me my package wasn’t there and I need to contact the seller who I purchased the package from. She did not know my tracking number or name, just demanded she couldn’t help me and that my package was not there. I tried to show her my tracking number but she waved me off and refused to help me. Finally the manager came out and helped me and gave me my package promptly and apologized for that rude persons’s attitude. This location needs to look at these reviews and the type of individuals they hire because this is unacceptable for people for simply trying to pick up their mail.
