I cannot express enough disdain for this store. Stopped in to inquire about upgrading my phone. Was told the trade in was $800+. I asked if she was sure. She replied yes. Went through the process. Saw that the rep was trying to add $15/month device protection to all four family lines. I did not ask for this and asked for it to be removed.
Was charged $35 activation fee and $50 to move data. I could have moved the data myself which I ended up doing at home after it timed out there.
Stopped in to return the old phone after I had moved the data. Was told that I could only receive $200 for a trade in. He asked if a customer loyalty discount had been applied, which seems it could have, but it was not. After 30 minutes of messing around, I took the $200 and walked out unsatisfied.
Never signed anything, never saw what new bill will look like. No email. Received bill this afternoon. Of course the device protection is on there. Not sure if the second rep added it without my knowledge. Either way, I have chatting with Verizon for an hour about it and a few other charges.
Also, Verizon has a $35 device upgrade fee which seems to be a profit play by them because it is addition to the activation fee for the same amount.
My wife needs a new phone. I will not buy it from here. I might skip Verizon altogether.
I could not be less satisfied than I am.
