Rooms were very clean, room service team was very kind as well. Hector was the first person that greeted me and that man was just absolutely the best. Great personality, he dapped me up - complimenting me on my suit. The staff all around, very accommodating. The venue was just fantastic and I thought the breakfast bar was great! Umm, you're telling me I can make my own bagel sando with all the fixins? I'd suggest putting out more cheese for the people, but that's about it. Also, waffle / yogurt / and oatmeal bar. Shaun told us to get to brunch sooner than later, so we did. It was well stocked. And the freakin' Gold Star, A1 - The top enchilada of service, Lex! She was great, took wonderful care of us and everyone else. The Glidden House was a wonderful stay, wish we could've gotten to explore more!

This hotel is fantastic, situated in a beautiful historic house in a great location. Their goal was to maintain the appearance of 1910. Beds are not large. The only negative is breakfast. I think they need to change the breakfast concept and modernize it or make it better.

It is a nice historical hotel in the heart of a college area, close to museums, a botanical garden. The rooms were nice, the service adequate. The breakfast was ok, nothing special but I won't let that affect my opinion that it is a good hotel overall. The third floor was under renovation but it was fine. The rooms were good except for the pillows - they could do with better ones. They could also offer some bottled water as there is none in the room. The bar service was disappointing. The prices we were charged for drinks were much higher than the menu prices - a difference of 3-4 dollars. The prices were outrageous. $19 for a poorly made old fashioned where I could not even taste the alcohol? $14 for a glass of red wine? I don't pay that much at the airport or at a high end hotel! Unexplainable and unacceptable. For that one reason I'm going to give them four stars. A pity rather because it could be an excellent choice for lodging but I will not stay there again most likely - the food and drinks options are scarce and what's there is not up to par.

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at Glidden House, and it was a truly enchanting experience! Nestled in University Circle, this charming hotel venue combines historic elegance with modern amenities. The beautiful gardens and cozy indoor spaces provided a perfect backdrop for both the ceremony and reception, creating a romantic atmosphere throughout the day.
The staff were incredibly accommodating and professional, ensuring that everything ran smoothly and that the couple and guests felt well taken care of. The attention to detail in the décor and the overall ambiance made for stunning photos, and the natural light in the main areas was fantastic for capturing those special moments.
Overall, Glidden House is a wonderful choice for couples looking for a unique and intimate setting for their wedding. I highly recommend it for any wedding celebration!

Cute boutique hotel in the heart of Cleveland’s university circle. Walking distance to museums and CWRU. If you’re looking for a location to host your wedding I cannot recommend Glidden House more. The staff were friendly, accommodating and very organized.

Nice hotel in a unique building. My stay here was very good, for the most part. The location is ideal; close to museums, university, and the hospital. Parking is on site, the staff is friendly, the rooms are comfy and clean. When I stayed, they were doing some remodeling, which is fine but I had no warning and it was a bit annoying. I arrived a half hour early but no early check-in, and the room wasn't ready until a few minutes after 4. Checked out at noon no issues! I'd like to stay here again once renovations are done. Also, expanding the bar hours for early or late arrivals would be good.

Glidden House is our hotel of choice in Cleveland. The rooms are clean and accomodating. The breakfast is very nice. Your greatest asset is James who covers all a travelers' needs. He is helpful with bags, etc, and is super helpful with restaurant suggestions. He is very knowledgeable about the area.
The bar tender was great. I suggest you add Sambuca, Limoncello, and a few other after dinner drinks to round out out dinners. And, I would love to have taken home something as a souvenir. That cute gargoyle in the garden would be a great souvenir on something, I would like something more than just the coaster. There might be more things to come home with beyond that.

Our vacation plans abruptly changed when our flight was cancelled and we had to figure out how to make the best of our time in Cleveland. By some wonderful stoke of luck, we googled and found Glidden House.....everything about it was lovely and charming and perfect for us. The staff, the room, the BREAKFAST!!, the area. But .....that sweet patio space was our favorite and we enjoyed it immensely. We ate breakfast, sat with coffee, had a drink at night .......it's a magical little place in the midst of all the city craziness! Glidden House was clean, welcoming and just what we needed to regroup and salvage our vacation. We will be forever thankful for finding this place and will look forward to staying again....

Beautiful hotel & grounds, lovely staff, breakfast buffet included. Great value. Convenient to transit if you're heading downtown for baseball, basketball, football, whatever and don't want the hassle of driving. I'll definitely stay here again if I'm back in Cleveland!

Beautiful house and really good breakfast choices. We have stayed there several times. My only complaint is that the housekeeper asked if we wanted our room clean and I told her I'd wait in the lobby while she cleaned it. 1 1/2 hours later I came back up and it still wasn't clean. We left again, came back hours later and it wasn't done. Not the end of the world but annoying. Will definitely stay there again though.
