The cars are good. If you are late to turn in even by two hours they charge another day. If i had known i would have just kept it to the next day.. There should be a grace period before they charge another day..

They stole 371.00 dollars from me for fraudulent charges. They waited 6 months to charge my card until right before Christmas. When I got the local office on the phone a team member so identified as Ty lied on the phone and pretended to be the manager. I will be reporting them to corporate and the Consumer Protection Bureau.

We rented a car from these guys on 21st. They forced us into an EV despite our reluctance. The EV had battery issues and would not charge. Because of that we ended up missing our thanks giving family dinner and had to book a hotel in town. We called customer service and emergency road service and they just told us to go to the location and drop the car early and get a refund. We did that. But they charged us the full amount. Even this we returned the car 4 days earlier ( than the 7 days total ) . We asked them to check the car to confirm it has battery issues and they refused to do that and refused to refund us for the unused days. When we tried to argue with them they because very hostile and pushed us out of the door and slammed the door on us.These guys are very unprofessional and rude. Unfortunately we booked on Expedia and didn’t get to see all the bad reviews they had.I can’t tell you how rude, racist and unprofessional these people are. I would never rent from Hertz again.

Easily the worst Hertz location I have ever been to. The location claims to open at 8 am, but the employees typically don’t show up until 8:10-15 at the earliest. From there, it usually takes another 15-20 minutes to get your vehicle.

I've called 4 times this morning and no one answers the phone. After reading all of the terrible reviews (booked through priceline), I just want to make sure they are going to have a car for me when I land in Cleve.

My reservation number is k64208164f0 made a reservation fo a full size vehicle, i went to 1701 east 12 street Cleveland ohio where the reservation was made. at the location they didn’t have full size vehicles available, and without the minimum effort to help, the sent me to the airport, where they also did not have any full size vehicles, i ask if they can give me a mid size or any other vehi for the same price i made the reservation for which in any other company they usually give you an upgrade, but the only option was to pay an additional 500 dollars from the original price the reservation was made for so i called Hertz to see how i could get a vehicle, and the person that helped me over the phone sent me to another location where guess what?? They Did not have full size vehicles, but at least this gentleman put some effort into helping me and at least gave me a mid size suv I will never rent with Hertz again. Customer service is the worst, in person or over the phone, I called 3 times and they kept hanging the phone on me.

The worst dealership I've ever be in. Charged me extra while providing me a car in a lower class than what I reserved. Additionally, it took them 55 minutes to bring me my car. Stay away if you can.

Customer service rep was really nice. Unfortunately at this location at least in the morning there's one person and they have to get your car from another area in the large building lot and drive it to the front of the complex. So it creates delays on pickup

I rented a car from Hertz - I am a gold member. when I got there my car was not ready. it should have been outside waiting on me. so i waited at the counter and when I got there they took me outside to see if my name was on the board and it was not - they took me back inside and booked my car. they sent me to the gold lot and said pick out any car in the gold lot. so I did and we went to gate to leave and again they did my paperwork for the third time. they charged me about 15% more for the rental and said not to worry that it would be billed correctly when it went thru the system. Well they took 305 dollars from my credit card a couple days later and that was cool - about 40+ dollars less the what I thought. Then about a week later they took an additional 398 dollars from my credit card. I contacted them and they said too bad. you agreed to pay this, i told them i had a predone reservation and they should honor that, and I was told on the phone that they would not honor the reservation price and that if i did not like it I could contact customer service thru e-mail. so i did that and they said the same thing. they said I picked a suv in lieu of a car. I explained that I was told any car off the gold lot and there were only about 6 choices there and 4 of them were suv's. again I was told too bad. So unless you have the extra time to fight with them and lose and the extra money to spend when they over charge you and the extra money on your credit card when they double charge you, I would recommend that you use a different rental agency. Dollar, avis, thrifty, turo anyone other then Hertz.

Very unprofessional. Having people wait for minutes on end for someone to come out and provide service. Walking in to no one being at the front desk or a signage stating the approximate time of coming back from whatever the front desk associate(s) was doing. 0 stars if I could.

Super rude employee, it's not what you say it's how you say. Learn some manners when you talk to people. I definitely sensed reverse racism, the employee was really nice to all the African Americans and exceptionally rude to the Indian group.

Do not rent or return at this location. It was supposed to be open from 9-12 on a Saturday morning and no one showed up at all. Another family was totally stranded and waited for 3 hours for the car they rented to no avail. Calling Hertz customer service was useless- they just told me it should be open.

Great location, cheaper rates compared to other companies nearby. If you’re looking for affordable clean cars this downtown location is the best. I’ve been renting with Hertz from the same location for a year now. This is my last week renting with Hertz, I’m finally getting a new car. The manager “Blair Williams” is the best, very nice friendly guy. He’s a hard worker, he does a great good job managing this location.

Everything was great until I left my keys in returned car. I called next day and they found them, great. Asked them to ship them to me and I’ll pay whatever it costs and they said no we don’t do that. What horrible customer service. I am not from Cleveland and I can’t just drive back. This is ridiculous they have my keys and won’t make an effort to return.
