About Budget Car Rental
Budget Car Rental offers a mixed experience for customers. On the positive side, many reviewers highlight friendly and helpful staff who are willing to assist, especially during short notice rentals or when dealing with complex processes like third-party reservations. Customers appreciate the staff’s professionalism and clear explanations, which make the rental process smoother. Some reviewers mention that despite long lines and wait times, attentive employees help resolve issues and improve the overall experience.
However, there are notable areas for improvement. During peak times, the service desk can be understaffed, leading to long wait times and frustration. Customers also report that rental locations sometimes lack clear signage for car return areas, especially at busy airports, which can cause confusion and delays. Additionally, some staff members appeared distracted or did not provide full attention, impacting the first-time rental experience. There are also mentions of slow processing at kiosks and difficulties in navigating airport return zones, including unclear instructions and accidental misdirection, which can add stress, especially when travelers are pressed for time.
Overall, Budget Car Rental demonstrates commitment to customer service through friendly staff and helpful support, but addressing staffing shortages and improving signage could greatly enhance the rental experience.

The car I was originally going to get had a “smell” that that was unacceptable for me. They helped me get a new, upgraded car for the same price.
