“Cute little chocolate place in German village! The chocolate turtles were big and perfectly sweet and chocolatey. The price per pound was decent as well. A man comes out and was making chocolate for us to see. Great place to buy gifts for friends!”

“Sometimes I don't think about recommending some thing that's been around so long. My 50 year old niece used to love to go to this place when she was a kid. I've been taken nephews and cousins and my own children here forever. Their chocolate ice cream is my chocolate Favorite, the kids love the chocolate cones! And I must say the service there is good because it seems to be like we spent about 1000 years in there to spend five dollars per kid lol and nobody else got impatient except me. There's not a lot of room in there but it's just a fun experience for kids and grandmas too”

“Went in on the last Friday of 2023 and am very happy about all items. Christmas candy was on sale so was able to grab some fun stuff at a great price. I have been wanting to go in here for a while as we haven’t been in at years and thought this day would be perfect, especially to beat the crowd. We arrived about 45 minutes before closing but the clerk was friendly& helpful. Thanks for a great impression!”

“It's like you are going back in time when you walk in here. Only thing that has changed is their prices. Still has the old time smell and decor. Anthony Thomas is definitely a place you know won't ever change. The smell alone brings back childhood memories!”

“Our son and family live in Bexley and sent us a nice selection of Anthony-Thomas candy last Christmas, so when we visited them last week we had to visit the Bexley shop also. Sandy was very welcoming and took time to see that we got what we wanted. We bought some for ourselves and some to take back home to Arkansas for family and our fave neighbors. They lose a star for not allowing even customers to use their restroom. That is just tacky.”

“I visit several times a year to buy their Buckeyes, cherry cordials, and assorted chocolate boxes. Staff is always friendly. They haven't (yet) increased their prices even when everything else has increased. I love this place and especially the products they sell!”

“A bit hard to find, since they've moved from a storefront to an office in a nondescript building. Follow your GPS. It is just to the north of Wendy's, and you can turn in off High or down the little alley that runs directly behind Wendy's. They don't have the nostalgia candies anymore, but they do have plenty of good chocolates. The owner was super friendly, give me a couple samples and asked my tastes to figure out what I might like. I ended up with a pound of turtles and some chocolate covered pretzels. They are very very very good. You can buy them by the pound, although I think you can also get a half pound or whatever. But hey, it's good stuff, and although I will try to make it last, I know it will be gone pretty soon. Walk-ins are only on Wednesdays, so check their website for hours. Most of their business is online, and they have free delivery to a lot of Columbus, so that is probably a good idea for most. I happened to be nearby and made sure I came during their open hours. But hey now, free delivery of excellent chocolate? I will keep that in mind as a gift, or as a gift for myself.”

“Dietary restrictions: I love that they have a handful of flavors that are dairy free with the “perfect indulgence” ice creams. I always go for the black raspberry chocolate chip perfect indulgence.”

“Stopped in to the Marble Cliff shop to pick up a few Valentines sweets. I appreciate having such a high quality, family-owned chocolate shop near us. It's fewer and far between that these charming boutique candy and sweets stores are still in business. I'm happy to support Anthony Thomas. We ended up getting the mini Valentines packs of chocolates, chocolate covered marshmallows, and chocolate covered candied orange peels (these are tasty!!). They also carry the gamut of truffles, filled chocolates, buckeyes, some fudge, bark, boxed variety packs, and a selection of nuts. This is a great little store for what it offers! Four stars because we were the only ones in the shop and I found the service to be somewhat aloof.”

“great customer service! they helped us get the ice cream we wanted even though the menu had changed. supplied us with cups of water when we asked, and greeted me kindly when i came back in for another spoon. Loved the management and congeniality on labor day! :)”

“fantastically fresh candies! I took the grands since they had a few dollars to spend. Honestly did not expect much as an over 60 person who is used to the "old days" of fresh foods and sweets. I was frankly amazed at how good all my choices tasted. Will definitely go again.”

“A great Chocolate and candy store with a variety of choices and gift boxes. The server was friendly and I got some samples to try. Their fruit and classic milk chocolate tasted great but a little too sweet for me. They also had some decent Buckeye and Columbus gift boxes and birthday letters chocolates. Those gift boxes were a little pricey.”

“They have everything. The prices are a bit high but worth it if you need to find something specific. Staff was very busy stocking shelves and such. Not busy at all. Surprised me considering New Year's Eve is coming up in 2 days.”
