I was with this company for years. Insuring 3 vehicles!!! Never missed a payment. Never filed a claim. Maintained a clean driving record. For years.. Thousands in premiums over that period. What did they reward me with? Nothing ever but, Higher premiums. Renewal after renewal. That’s all I was given for my loyalty. Could have at least gave some Blue Jacket tickets.. nope ..Zero.. Zilch.. nothing. smh.. The latest one skyrocketed.. for no reason whatsoever on my part. Not one time did I burden them. Not even a roadside assistance.Think that got recognized? nope!! Not at all………so guess what!!! See ya…..thanks for your customer relation and appreciation.. not…

After reading all those reviews im grateful they hung up on me. Customer service is horrible. They dont understand anything or help at all. The bot that answers the phone is even worse. If youre not already a customer dont even waste your time that trash doesnt understand a thing u say and talks in circles without ever connecting you to anyone. And if you are a customer, I feel for you. STAY AWAY!!

I had nationwide for the first time 40 years ago. They canceled my policy within the first 60 days of coverage stating I did not provide proof of prior coverage or that I had a roommate. Neither of these questions were on the original application, which I provide back to them in response to their cancelation. I also provided the with proof of prior coverage in my initial response. They canceled me any way. I told myself never again.2 years ago I bought a house and went to the insurance market for homeowners insurance. Nationwide was one of the top 3. Long story short I went with Nationwide hoping improvements had occurred. I regret my decision 20 months later. Their communication, customer service and underwriting are TERRIBLE! I will NEVER use Nationwide, Allied, Scottsdale or AMCO insurance again, for ANYTHING, EVER!!!

My stepmom and I purchased this insurance for her dream trip of a lifetime in which on the cruise she got covid despite as being pre-tested and vacced and boosted) we were separated and quarantined. Obviously we didn't get to enjoy over half the cruise together. At the end of the day they reimbursed us zero for the cruise itself and her two nights of quarantine and me one night extra that I had to stay so out of the $2,400 some dollars we claimed I'm still awaiting a check for like $207 of which the insurance was $149 and she received a check for like $400 some dollars. A total scam. I will never ever ever use or trust this company again. Their position is that we still had a place to stay and food to eat on the cruise but the fact that she couldn't leave her room and I was assisting her and couldn't really go on the go on the things and enjoy them with her it was a wash and it used my entire vacation time up. All in all a really dirty underhanded company. And yet they still required us to provide the proof which wasn't a problem that she had covid but they weren't going to reimburse us any of our loss because of our disaster of a cruise. I did not expect a full Cruise reimbursement but I did think they would reimburse at least the part that we lost Nationwide you should be ashamed of yourself. Nationwide is on their side and no one else's. Update: after a lot of back-and-forth banter, they did cover our claims, and I think that they were fair. But they should not have put us through all that for how sick my stepmother was, and what we went through that obviously ruined the bulk of our cruise through no fault of our own, because after all, that’s why we purchased insurance. And yes, all documents were submitted. So I am updating this from a 1 to 3.

Nationwide would not let me cancel my policy in writing or over the phone. I didn't pay to renew my policy so they sent me to collections. This is fraud and anti consumer. Do not use Nationwide unless you want to be locked in forever. Better yet, don't use Nationwide.

Hellish experience. They faied to send out renewal notices. So I tried to cancel my automatic payment for the upcoming renewal from their website. The payment still went through! So I called them up. I told them I want to cancel the renewal and get a refund for the payment they took. Even though they cancelled the renewal and failed to stop the automatic payment their website said would stop immediately, they are still charging me a ONE DOLLAR installment fee!!! For a payment I cancelled on a policy which will no longer be in effect!Horrible company. Horrible customer service. I spoke to two different people for 47 minutes and they still refused to refund the ONE DOLLAR processing fee.Do not ever buy insurance from Nationwide. They screw customers over, then they argue nonsense when you try to get them to fix their problems.

I called to get an auto quote. The rep asked me the usual questions and provided the quote but got agitated when I asked for it to be emailed then hung up on me. I was prepared to accept the offer but instead I'll try elsewhere.

Wanna get dropped because your insurance providers employees don’t do their job? Get with these guys; they won’t even tell you when they cancel your policy.

In my experience, I found mystery limits on my pet's policy. When asked to send copies of those limits, the company was unable to do so. Medical procedures that should have been covered with higher dollar amounts were reduced to ridiculous lows with explanations that lacked medical experience and were off-base as a result. Sneaky, deceptive, and manipulative are some of the adjectives that spring to mind. Ignore the disingenuous response below. I contacted customer support on multiple occasions. They're absolutely no help. Eventually, I had to file formal complaints against the company with my state's insurance commission. Avoid securing a pet policy with Nationwide.

The corporate office “specialist” complicate the process of being paid out on claims. They will accuse you of that turning in the proper papers. Just when you think the issues should be resolved you call to find out there are additional issues they did not make you aware of. Out of four beneficiary claims-one was correct, one was paid out thousands less, and mine is weeks into the process, TBD for the fourth. I am a nurse who deals with death on a frequent basis, thanks to Covid, and these “specialist” need a course in compassion. I DO NOT recommend this company. Do not deal with Cherry/Sherry.
